#14 Why her?

Hazel's POV:
I walk into maths and sit in a seat in the middle of the class. Why am I so sad about this? Agh I'm such a fucking idiot. I look up to see Dylan walk in. Please don't notice me... Great. He sits next to me and I keep my head down. He seems to ignore it. Agh! Tell me why! I look at him and look down again. He looks at me and makes a disappointed face.
"Whats wrong?" I look at him and shake me head fast.
"Nothing." He looks at the front and back at me again.
"Please... Just tell me..." I look up and the board and back at him.
"It's nothing... I was just wondering if you wer-" I look down." If you've found out... How Emily's doing?" He looks at me and tilts his head.
"Oh- uh- no I'm sorry." I smile and look down again.
"It's okay." He looks at the door.
"Do you think she's okay?" I look at him. He has worry on his face. That cute, inasint face...
"I don't know, but Liam's proberbly sorting it out." He looks at me and smiles.
"Ya I'm sure she's okay." God I love his smile. I smile back and we carry on with work.

The lessons went by so slowly. I couldn't stop thinking of Emily. Is she okay? I was hanging out with Dylan and everyone else. We were in the cafeteria. They were all worried. I suddenly see the Cafe door swing open and Liam walks in. Everyone turns to look at Liam.
"Uhh. Hazel." I look up quickly.
"Yeah." He presses his lips together stressed.
"She wants to see you." What. Me? I look at him confused. He gives me a pleading look. And I stand slowly. We walk out and on the way I ask.
"Why me?" He looks back and shrugs.
"I don't know she just does." Thats weird I haven't know her long.
"Is she okay?" I ask a little too hopefully. He looks at me and smiles.
"Ya she'll be fine. Someone close just passed away." I look at him shocked. Oh. He carries on walking and we stop be the meds office. I turn my head slowly to look at him. He looks at me and laughs.
"Don't look so terrified she's just staying here cause she's sad." I sigh relieved letting the breath I never knew I was holding out. Liam laughs again and opens the door to step inside. We walk in and Emily's sitting on the bed with her face all red and puffy. Thank God! She sees me and smiles. I let out a little laugh of relief. She laughs to and we both start laughing. This reminds me of the day we fangirled in her room for the first time. I run up to her and hug her. I missed her. It had only been a day and I missed her. She hugged me tighter.
"What happened?!" I say regretting it immediately. She pulls away and looks at me.
"My cous-" She looks down trying not to cry again. "My cousin died last night... He was... Ethan and I's first cousin that we met and actually liked... So he was our favourite basically..." I look at her with a sad smile.
"Then why... Why did you want me?" She looks down and back up at me.
"Because you know what's it's like... And I trust you." My thought gets sore and tears start to form. She trusts me... She doesn't only hang out with me... She TRUSTS me... My parents didn't. But they knew... The real me. Tears start streaming down my face and Emily gives my a half shocked half sad smile and pulls me into a hug. I squeeze back. How could I have someone so special. She says while hugging me.
"Thank you. And if you need to tell me something or need anything. I'll be right here for you." We pull apart and I look at her in the eyes and say.
"Okay." Then she makes a frown.
"Is there still maths today." Thats weird.
"Uhh no, I don't think so, why?" She looks at me and smiles.
"YES!" I turn to see Liam still standing there smiling.
"OH! I thought you weren't here anymore." He just laughs and Emily stands up. She goes up to Liam and gives him a huge hug. Aww. If you were watching this you'd be dying. They're so cute. Liam smiles one of his happy smiles and hugs her back tighter.
"Thank you." Emily says into his ear.
"Anything." He says back with a little chuckle at the end. They pull out of the hug and Emily turns to face me.
"Come on let's go!" I look at her with my eyes wide. Liam just raises his eyebrows at me and Emily pulls me out of the meds office.

Dylans POV:
Hazel walks out of the cafeteria with Liam and we all go silent for a minute.
"Sooo." Is what Catherine says and we all cringe and laugh a little. I then see a girl with blond hair and kind of short walking towards our table. And of course wearing a cheerleading outfit. What is up with all these cheerleaders? She comes and slowly sits down at our table sitting next to Catherine. What. The. Fuck? I thought they hated cheerleaders. Catherine then looks at me and laughs. I obviously didn't hide my confusion very well. Shuck. Shuck? Really... She looks at me and pats blonde on the back.
"This is Cloe shes actually our friend not theirs." She says pointing at the back of her to the popu-bitches and puts her hand down on the table. "She just gets tea from there and spills it for us." I look at her with eyebrows raised. She gives my a half smile and a shrug and carries on playing with her food. Catherine looks at her and nudges her. She looks up with eyes wide and says.
"Oh right sorry!" She sits up a bit and carries on. "Turns out... Shes hosting a party on Saturday, and she invited Dylan." They all look at me. And Tyler looks back at her.
"And?" He says raising his voice a little. Haha classic Tyler.
"He said he was going to invite someone with him. So now she's going around to every girl in the school telling them to back off and stuff." I tilt my head.
"What if it was a gay?" She looks at me confused.
"What do you mean?" I sit up a little.
"I mean what if I was gay?" Everyone looks at me and then to her. She takes her elbows off the desk and says.
"Well firstly she doesn't know what gay is. And secondly... Are you?" I was at the one point but it was a faze. I shake my head and say.
"No I was just wondering." They all look at me and Tyler says.
"Well? Who are you inviting." I look up and was about to say something when the Cafe door opens.
