Dan's P.O.V

I walked up to the glass door in the kitchen leading out to the back garden. I pressed my hands up against the glass and watched my son, Joe, running around with a football. I should have seen Rayyn playing with him, her own son, but she wasn't there. Ever since cancer took her life, I haven't given up on Joe.

Lost in my own thoughts, I saw Rayyn behind Joe, calling out to him and trying to get his attention. I had to blink a few times before I realised that I was seeing her ghost. She looked up to see me, a smile creeping on her face. I could already feel myself beaming at the sight of her gorgeous features, not just in a picture.

She ran over to me, and before I knew it, I had tears running down my face. She placed her hands against mine, from the other side of the door and whispered 5 words to me, that I still remember to this day.

"I will always love you."

And she was gone. I made my way upstairs to the bathroom to clean myself up, as the stream running from my eyes had soaked my shirt. I looked into the mirror and said:

"I love you too, Rayyn. I will always love you so much."

I felt a warming heat in my heart and looked up whilst whispering my thanks. I returned outside and played with Joe, being the best Father I could ever be.
