Jaime x Stark!reader - Imagine Jaime falling in love with you

× When Jaime first lays his eyes on you he doesn't quite understand the feelings you caused in this moment. As long as he can remember he is with Cercei and even though he's certain he loves her, Jaime can't deny the immense attraction he feels toward you.

× You were Robbs twin and immediately notice the kingslayer when you stand beside your brother to greet the royal family. But unlike Robb, you don't register the glaces Jamie gives you all the time while Robert talks with your parents.

× During the feast your family held for the arrival of the king, Jaime can't stop looking at you. He doesn't even try to hide it, much to your families and Cerceis despair. A few glasses of wine later he makes his way towards you to ask you to dance with him.

× Every moment of dancing with you he catches himself thinking about how good it feels to have you in his arms and how much he would want to kiss and feel you right now. But of course, he's able to control himself and overplay his thoughts with his cocky and charming remarks.

× This night Jaime escorts you to your room which gives you the opportunity to talk to each other and get to know more about the other. It surprised him that you're so friendly with him, he surely has a certain charm when it comes to women but without a doubt you heard the stories about him. Your family isn't he biggest fan of him after all.

× The following days he tries to spend as much time as possible with you without Cercei noticing too much or feel too neglected because of it. The fact that you're so different from Cercei fascinates him. You truly care for your siblings, even for the bastard Jon Snow. You tell him how you're teaching Bran and Arya to shoot with an arrow (something you perfected a few years ago). His sister never showed this kind of love to Tyrion, nor is she as kind and good hearted as you to the people around you.

× For the first time in his life Jaime begins to feel nervous around someone. It doesn't take long for him to fall in love with you and once he realizes how much he cares for you, he's scared you won't want to be with someone like him, the kingslayer. He has no idea that you're feeling the same, despite the protests of your father and Robb. Because of his own unfamiliar insecurities he tries his best to impress you with his fighting skills and successes.

× To say Jaime is shocked when King Robert pronounces that he gets to marry you would truly be an understatement. One glace to his sister and former lover (who he hasn't touched since the dance with you) is enough to see how much the idea of him getting married to someone else disgustes her.

× At first Jaime feels nothing but joy when Robort tells him about his idea to build an alliance between the Starks and Lannisters. But after a few moments of happiness he starts to worry about your reaction. What if you aren't interested in him the same way he is in you? What if you have no intention to marry him? Jaime learned how much you love living in Winterfell with your family and how you only want to marry out of love and not because of some political benefit for your house.

× Therefore, he's slightly anxious when he makes his way towards your room a few hours later to find out whether or not you already know about the kings plans. When you open your door and nervously stare at the floor while a deep blush appears on your cheeks, he's sure you know.

× It takes a while before the both of you get that the other is actually pretty fond of marrying. Jaime couldn't be happier once you tell him about your thoughts of their wedding. Finally, he has the courage to admit his feelings for you and promises you to protect and take good care of you in Casterly rock.
