The date was October 31, 1999 in West-brook Maine. It was Halloween and all the children were out to go trick or treating when it happened. Out of no wheres the creature struck a little girl on the side of the leg. It was young Jane Howler at the age of only 12 at the time. She was with her friends July, Mark, Ryan, and a high schooler who was July's "boyfriend" Bill Colts. He was the star football Quarterback who had 31 touchdowns, ran 311 yd and has also done school wrestling. He was the guy everyone wanted to be unless you were Mark Sam-berg. Mark was the so called smartest kid in West-brook high. He was in chess club, he had voted as the class president, and had made on the honor roll every quarter starting way back in 5th grade.
Jane had just realized that something had touched her leg because there was a note there that had all her friends names on there including her's. "Guys come check this out, there a note that has everyone's name it and it was on my leg." Jane yelled to her friends who were coming back from a house that gave them a cargo ship like size hand fulls of delicious candy. When everyone finally came back with candy in their head like bags they were shocked to find out that Jane wasn't tricking them by saying there was note because they all saw it in her hand with names there to. The first one to really hold the not was Mark, who was trying to find out if Jane had just wrote the note or was it really already written.
Mark was about to say what he found out when all of a sudden there was a big light shining at all the kids. The light started to come closer to them and July thought that it was a ghost but it turns out that it was just a police officer telling people that it was time to Head back to their homes. They were all sad but Mark said, "Hay I'll take this note home and find out what it says and i will tell you guys tomorrow."
That night Mark was very anxious to see what the note said that way he could get some sleep. It turns out that the note said what would turn out to be the scariest thing mark has seen in his life.
Hello children, I know you have my note and this what i want you to know. Trust no one unless you can trust yourself. Now sleep tight, and don't let me come bite tonight.
