Chapter 13;

The next day you and Alyssa wake up early to have breakfast, "I'm gonna go find a job today" She says to me as she finishes up her food "Oh really?" I get happy for her "Where are you thinking of going to?" "Black industries" She says confidently and I look at her very surprised "Oh wow, really? Would that be okay, I mean since they are all big and all, is that even possible?" I start to waffle "I'm going to find a job, and hopefully I'll see Jordan and he'll give me the job" I nod in agreement and she smiles "You seem so sure you're gonna get it?" "Well..." "-WELL..You two?" "We are going pretty slow" "Are you sure?" "I got it all covered, don't worry" She shrugs getting ready and winks "You still have to tell me how you met the man of your dreams though, I need to learn" "Soon, young child" She winks again and starts to head out and I wish her farewell

Time went on and I was so bored since I had no uni or work so I start to clean up but my phone rings and so I pick it up thinking its Alyssa who forgotten something 

"I find it kinda rude" I hear from one side of the line and I roll my eyes "Hello to you too" I take off my gloves and wipe my hands against the towel and hold my phone properly "You didn't call" "I know" I say with short replies "I asked you to call" "I know" "So what happened?"

"Technically you gave me a choice" "And you took the latter?" "Nope, took the easier option" "Which was?" "Not breaking my best friends heart into a million pieces" "You're cute" He scoffs and I can hear through the other line he stood up and was moving rapidly with the noise increase in the background

"I know" "Very" He says in a low tone "I know" I say smugly "But if you think me and Alyssa like each other you're funny, she doesn't like me, she likes my money"  "What makes you think that?" I ask confused "I don't think, I know" There is a short pause and I breathe in "She likes you" I say with all the breath in my body, I don't like this man so why am I this affected ?!

"Okay picture this, she strolls into here thinking I would give her job straight away, demands it and expects me to pay her regularly" "Doesn't mean she's after you're money" "The first question she asked was that-" "Maybe she needs it" "Needs my money?" 

"She wanted a job, at least she's working for it" "Who will be paying her?" "I don't know and I don't care, she's just looking for a job" "She needs it to feed her kids, or maybe to feed you?" He says rudely and I cross my arms over my chest as if he could see "We will never know" "Yeah let's go with that" 

"I think that she thinks she's gonna have sex with me all day and I'll pay her for her work" "All these assumptions Jordan you're killing me" "I don't do those kind of things" I hear something shut loud in the back and I stop myself from asking where Alyssa actually was

"You're not denying she'd do that" He says clearing my thoughts "Jordan there's a million things about you she's told me, trust me if I believed it, we won't be having this conversation right now?" I hear him chuckle sarcastically and I clear up my mess "Wow when you speak a lot I can barely hear you over that accent" "What accent?" I snap "I mean you didn't have to tell me I figured you're from Britain?" "Well I don't have an accent so lucky guess"

"And did you give her the job?" I say without waiting for a reply "Back to this topic" I hear him sigh through the phone "Did you?" "Yeahhh" "So-" "Only because my father was there" "Okay...?" He doesn't say anything and I continue "Does your family think you're dating or something?" I laugh off "My family think we are engaged" He says bluntly and I start to have a fit of coughs "I think I-I I've lost connection" I say and end the call

I hold onto the counter as I try and balance myself from what he just said "Engaged? what the hell?" I laugh to myself as the door bell goes off and I open it thinking hopefully this time Alyssa who forgot her keys but I am not even surprised to see Jordan with food in his hands
