It was heartwarming seeing my dad get on very good with Robert. They had the same interest, they shared a favourite soccer team, they even had favourite beer.

I was sitting on the couch, my legs crossed and my arm holding my head, with my mom talking about prom dresses. Prom wasn't that far at all.

"How about pink? It looks so cute on you!", it was calming me down that my mom and me finally talked with eachother like a normal daughter-mother relationship.

"Ew, no! Black looks nice", my mom scrunched her face in disgust, she was a bright colour person after all.  Robert turned his head to us from the couch, furrowing his brows "I think black is a very nice colour for a prom dress", my smile faded as he spoke again "but pink is a very ladylike colour, it could be more fitting on you..", he winked at me, turning around to talk to my dad and drink his wine. I rolled my eyes at his weird flirt, looking to my mom again only to see that Lucy stood upstairs, her arms crossed, scanning the room.

A hand interrupted my small starin contest with Lucy. I looked to person only to see that it wad Robert, leaning against the couch back. I bit my lip, trying to ignore the rage that Lucys stare was giving me. "It's time to go home",  Robert whispered in my ear as he stroked my hair out of my face. I smiled at him and stood up, folding out my dress that was all crumbled from the sitting. Lucy took small but loud steps downstairs still with her arms crossed, giving me her little bitch smirk.

"You're already going? Don't you have something to tell mom and dad?", I heard a door smash, making me know that it was Chris' turn to let out his dumb sentences.

"What?", my mom asked, standing up, repeating after my dad. We all stood in the living room, not making any sounds, not moving, only to hear whay Lucy had to say.

"Mr. Downey, you're the oldest and the smartest, so tell them", Robert furrowed his brows, angry, crossing his arms. I stood there, my foot tapping on the ground. The only sound that it was in the living room was our heavy breathing, filling in the awkward tension.

"What are you talking about, Lucy?", I furrowed my brows as Robert all of sudden firstnamed her, making me wonder what secret it was. "Oh you know, Susan...pregnancy...twins", mom gaped her mouth whilst dads eyes raced between Robert, me and Lucy. I looked to Robert, praying he would say something, explain this whole quiz.

"Lucy..", "Robert, come on. The whole school knows you're gonna be dad, why don't you admit it now?",

Chris stomped downstairs, his face red from all the rage he had in him. Suddenly Chris fist landed on Roberts jaw, making him step back a bit.

I couldn't even say something out of this embarrassment, tears rolled down my cheeks. Robert had one hand on his jaw, the other rolling into a fist.

"Chris!", my mother ran to chris, pushing him away from Robert whilst my dad stood there, just judging the situation instead of actually saying something. "Poor Zoey, everyone seems to lie to you", I couldn't hold back my anger anymore, it was just pouring out of my brain, my head wasn't clear anymore so I stomped to Lucy, grabbing a fist full of her hair and pulling her down to the ground whilst my other hand was scratching the shit out of it. I know it's not good to treat your own sister like this, but can you even call that your own sister? A sister that ruins your whole life? Your relationship? The relationship between your boyfriend and your parents?

Robert grabbed me by the waist, pulling me away from Lucy. "It's not worth it, come on, zoey!",

I grunted, pulling my hands away, regretting that I didn't spit in her face. As I looked to my dad he was sitting on the couch, head in his hands. Robert looked at me with a worried expression but as I examined his face, I saw that he was bleeding out of his nose. Dear god, chris.

I cupped his face in my hands, biting my lip as I saw that he wasn't only bleeding out of his nose, he was also bleeding out of his mouth. Robert furrowed his brows, wiping the tears away that mostly dried. I pulled him into the bathroom that was downstairs, saying that he should sit down on the toilet so I could help him with the wound.

"Your brother...he hates me, right?", he said as I gave him toiletpaper to stuff his nose. I shook my head, putting a hand on his shoulder "No, he doesn't. He's just overprotective", He bit his lip, nodding as he hugged me which looked weird since I was standing and he was sitting, he basically hugged my hips. "I love you so much", he whispered, sending me shivers down the spine.

Bathrooms are pretty romantic to express and say your feelings, right? I laughed quietly, playing with his hair as he put his head against my stomach. "I love you too",

Robert stood up from the toilet, spitting and washing his mouth in the sink then leaning in and locking eyes with mine. Just as we were about to kiss there was a knock on the door, opening quick so we didn't had any time to pull away.

"Sorry if I disturbed you..but your dad is not feeling well...Zoey, calm him down, he's better with you and Robert", my moms mascara was smudged, making me know that she was crying about something which made me feel bad.

I nodded and grabbed Roberts hand, pulling him with me in the living room where my dad was sitting, looking at somewhere I couldn't make out. I sat down beside him while Robert stood right infront of him. "Dad?", I whispered, putting my head on his shoulder.

I felt him nod which gestured me that he was in the mood of listening but not answering. "Dad, I'm so sorry how this all went down but...believe me, I know about Roberts ex-wife Susan, she's pregnant, yeah, but Robert is sure that it isn't his", Dad nodded again, breathing out slowly. I sighed quietly, looking at the Robert, telling him with my eyes to say something.

He kneeled down in front of dad, wiping his nose "Mr. Greene, I know that situation is bad right now..but believe me, as a grown man, I am not the father of this baby. Your daughter, this beautiful woman right next to you, means the world to me. She keeps me sane, she keeps me warm, she gives me the feelings of love. I bet you have this with your wife..so please, don't worry about this daughter, my lovely partner, she's in good hands", my dad looked up, smiling as he held out his hands.

Robert smiled back, shaking his head firmly, giving me a nod.

I stood up, folding out my dress again.

My dad patted Roberts back, still smiling like a little kid on a christmas morning.

"You're a wonderful man, Robert. I wish you the best", I looked to the kitchen where my mom stood, sipping her tea quietly, smiling at me as we both watched the lovely scene.

"I trust my daughter in this, I trust you, Robert. You are a lovely couple",

Robert laughed, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"But I have one thing to ask for..", my dad leaned in, probably as confused as me when I heard Roberts sentence.

"I want to marry your daughter" ,
