I stood at the stove cooking an egg and sausage scramble, while Emilia perused my shelves.
"It's ready," I announced, her head turned and a smile crossed her face. She sat down across from me, taking her plate from my hand.
"Wow, it smells great!" She said taking a bite, "That's really good, You're quite the chef."
"Thanks, I learned from my mom," I replied, pulling some hot sauce from the fridge. "Want some?" I asked, offering the bottle.
"Sure, I like hot stuff." She winked at me, and I immediately started to blush.
"So, you know some about me already. What about you?" I prompted, taking another bite.
"What about me?"
"What kind of job do you have?"
"I'm a graphic designer, mostly posters and advertisements and stuff."
"That's pretty cool."
"Yeah, I heard you work at a news station?"
"Yeah but all I really do is editing and equipment maintenance."
"Oh give yourself some credit doofus, I've seen some cool videos you've made."
"Yeah, I guess so. Do you have any siblings?"
"Yeah, I have a younger brother and younger sister. You?"
"I have an older brother and a twin sister."
"Oh yeah, Gabe said something about her. Her name is Danna, right?"
"Daisy," I corrected.
"Yeah, I heard you guys are pretty close." She commented, looking at the picture of Daisy and I on my fridge.
"Yeah, we've always been a team." I said with a smile. I stood to put my plate in the sink and Emilia did the same.
"I don't have to work today, maybe you and I could hang out today." Emilia suggested, wrapping her arms around my waist as I washed off our plates. "It is, after all, our first day as boyfriend and girlfriend.," She continued as I smirked.
"I was thinking the same thing."
