I just stood there. My mouth hanging wide open in shock. Yes, I know. That's not a proper thing for a princess to do, and the Last Princess of the Light at that one too but I can't help it. Not with the gorgeous guy staring at me with the most handsome grin ever to have lit this world. I finally tore my eyes off his face before he caught me staring at him, or so I'd like to think.
My mom beckoned me to sit beside her, opposite of the man. She gave me a disapproving look while she scanned over my clothing. What? I'd like to be normal once in a while too.
While I walked they stood up. My father gave me an approving smile while my mother held the same face. The man bowed but instead of keeping a straight face as I thought he would have, he smiled at me.
"Princess, We meet again.." he whispered while taking my hand and kissing my knuckles. I must say, I do think all of my blood rose to my face. Butterflies in my stomach didn't flutter about, they kicked and transformed into hungry lions.
I sat on the chair as fast as I could before my knees start to buckle underneath me which earned me a chuckle from the man.
"My dear child", my mother said once they all got seated "this is Prince Phillippe of Erucia and he has been very kind as to grace us with his presence."
I weakly nodded in reply.
"Are you sick, my dear? Would you like to go upstairs?" my father asked.
"I sort of do, father. I would very much like to go to my room."
"Well then, I shall accompany you." Prince Phillipe said, standing up.
"No, you don't have-" I started.
"I insist, Princess."
Sighing, I agreed. Atleast I won't have to walk back to my room alone in the dark corridors. I curtsied before my parents then I went straight for the door. Before I could reach the handle Prince Phillipe pushed the door for me and in effect, I rammed into him.
"Deja vu?" he said, chuckling.
I snorted, again not lady-like, held my chin high and walked out of the door heading to the direction of my room.
Well, I thought it was the right direction until Prince Phillipe chuckled behind me. I turned to him and saw that he had his arms crossed over his chest and was leaning on the door.
"It's actually this way, pumpkin." he said, pointing with his thumb in the opposite direction I was heading.
That caught me off guard.
"Pumpkin? May I ask why pumpkin?" I said non-chalant.
"Because you remind me of my grandmother, that's why. She keeps on bumping me, just like you."
I started going back to where he was.
"And you, my dear prince, remind me of an dumpling."
He laughed a hearty laugh.
"And now may I ask why you say I remind you so of a dumpling?"
"Because you're cute." I said in my most seductive voice while smiling.
I made my way to him and carressed his face. He coughed and swallowed the lump in his throat. Placing my hand in his muscular chest, I leaned in close to his ear and breathed making him shiver slightly, and said "I'm not like your grandmother..."
I then made my way to my room.
Ha! That will teach him not to mess with me. But really. Grandmother?! That was unforgivable.
I entered my room and locked the door. It was already night time so I got my duster and made my way to the bathroom to have a shower and to change.
The warn water eased my tense muscles. Replaying the scene with the prince in my head, I was amazed at my courage. Maybe he struck a nerve or something.
What was I saying? He struck 2 nerves with those words!
I let other thoughts drift through my head before getting out of the shower. I dressed and made my way to the bed.
I've read many book with things that happened like this. The girl goes away to her room and locks it and the guy can STILL enter her room. I mean like, 'Whaaat?'
Thankfully, the prince didn't break into my room. If he did, then the only room that was safe from him and his gorgeous... everything is the King and Queen's room.
Sighing, I lay down on my bed. My mind was busy thinking of the events that happened today along with Prince Philippe. The last thing I remembered before going to sleep was his laugh.
