Once we got home, Lucas walked us to my door.
Amanda: "Daddy, pwease dont leave." She started to tear up.
Lucas: "Don't worry, I'll visit you soon."
Amanda: "When will soon be?" She cried.
Lucas: "Well, pretty soon." He carried her.
Amanda: "Like, now?"
Lucas: "Not now, but in a few days."
Amanda: "Pwomise?" She made a puppy face.
Lucas: "I promise." They both hugged tightly.
Amanda: "Pinky pwomise just in case." She stuck out her pinky.
Lucas: "I pinky promise." He smiled and their pinky fingers connected.
Amanda kissed him on the cheek. Lucas kissed her on the forehead and handed her over to me. He then kissed me on the cheek.
Amanda: "Bye bye."
He waved goodbye and he left with that
Amanda: "Mommy I miss him."
Me: "He'll be back, he pinky promised."
Me: "Its late. Now lets get you ready for bed."
Amanda: "Okie."
I put Amanda into her pjs and the put her to bed.
Amanda: "Goodnight mommy."
Me: "Goodnight Amanda." I smiled. I closed the door from her bedroom. I decided to call Lucas.
Lucas: "Hello?"
Me: "Hey Lucas, can you do me a favor?"
Lucas: "Yeah, what is it."
Me: "So my friend and I got a job at my dads office, and I was wondering if you'd like to babysit Amanda every weekday."
Lucas: "Of course, what time?"
Me: "6 am to 10 pm."
Lucas: "Okay, I'll be there tomorrow."
Me: "Okay, thank you very much."
Lucas: "No problem, Goodnight."
Me: "Goodnight to you too."
Lucas: "Bye."
Me: "Bye."
With that we hung up and I went to bed.
Lucas's pov...
It was the next morning and I got ready to go to Veronica's house. I got there in 30 minutes and with was literally 5 minutes before 6:00. I pressed the doorbell and Veronica's friend opened the door.
Fabiola: "Um hey I'm Fabiola, you must be Lucas."
Me: "Yeah, you know where Veronica is?"
Fabiola: "She's in her bedroom getting ready."
I went up to her bedroom. I came from behind her and hugged her.
Me: "Hey babe." I kissed her cheek.
Veronica: "Hey." She kissed back.
Me: "I missed you." I said still hugging her.
Veronica: "We saw each other yesterday doh." She giggled.
Me: "I know."
Me: "Where is Amanda?"
Veronica: "She's still asleep. You could go to her room though."
