Month 1

Sydd

"Do you know why you're in here?" Leon asks Sydd.

"Yeah..."

"You need to learn how to control yourself. Control the demon that controls you." He walks away.

"If only it were that easy." Sydd says to himself. A guard comes up to Sydd's cell.

"You have a visitor." He says. He's taken to the visitor's center and sits in front of his guest.

"Do I know you?" he asks the woman sitting in front of him.

"You don't recognize me, do you Sydd?" The plump woman, with dark skin and long, dark brown hair says.

"Marissa?"

"Good, so the drugs didn't kill all your brain cells. So you're in jail...again."

"Yeah..."

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Sydd?"

"I don't- I don't know..."

"Didn't being in state prison change you?"

"Yes, yes it did, I'm not a drug addict anymore."

"Then why are you in jail again?"

"Because I can't- I can't control myself."

"Are you taking your medicine?"

"YES!"

"Are you lying to me?"

"No, I swear!"

"Then why are you still having attacks?"

"I don't know why you suddenly care, it's been ten years and you haven't talked to me, or contacted me or anything!"

"What's your excuse?"

"Why do you suddenly care?"

"I've always cared, it's you who stopped caring."

"I'm sorry. I guess we just kind of, grew apart."

"No, you fell into Rob's world and that's all you cared about."

"I'm sorry, I loved the feeling, I could forget about everything."

"You still didn't answer my question."

"Look, I don't know, something about the way that guy was hurting her... I snapped."

"What are you talking about, you broke into their hou-"

"NO! I was invited; I thought they were dropping the breaking and entering charge."

"Regardless, you're back in jail, so..."

"Yeah, cause I really wanted to end up back here."

"Look, I'm sorry; I just go by the evidence in front of me."

"Can't you ever believe me for once?"

"But I do believe you-"

"No you don't, I see the doubt in your eyes."

"Pfft. Whatever." She turns her head.

"Look at me Marissa." She looks at him, but not in the eyes.

"See, I knew it, you don't believe me."

"I'm sorry but you've lied more times than you've told the truth in the past thirteen years."

"How do you know? You weren't around for ten of them." The guard comes by.

"Time's up." He says.
