Krys,

I hope this finds you well. I know that you don't want to be found, but I figured if anyone could get a letter to you, it would be Nathan. So, here I am... writing.

I didn't get to see you before you got out of there. I wish I had been there, that I hadn't hesitated when Cadence died. I wish I could have comforted you and guided you. And then you left and I was left alone to carry his legacy, the last thing left of you besides that little box of yours.

I walked in just as you left. Mizella and Coran were there to greet me, standing over Ero's crumbled body, blood and brains everywhere. And Graham... Coran said you were distraught, left without bringing your little box, so I sent it with the enclosed package.

The clean up is going better than expected. You wouldn't believe the people we managed to get out of that building, so many of them were children. They don't even remember where they grew up or what their parent's names are. It's going to be hell getting them settled again, if their parents will even take them as they are. One little girl was like Raide, an angelus. She couldn't have been more than ten years old... she couldn't stop teleporting. Holding her was like holding something that was only there half the time. I wish I could have helped her, done something to stop her from disappearing. They don't expect her to last very long.

Another boy, an ignus, like you... I've never seen frost form on someone's eyebrows before. I don't know how he was even alive. The doctors did everything they could think of to warm him up. It wasn't until I suggested someone holding him that he showed any improvement. He had to be held for a long time before he came up to a normal temperature.

After that they assigned me to gifted triage. I don't know how much help I'll be. For as much as I know about you, there isn't a lot about other gifts that I know for sure. I'm guessing as much as they are. I just hope I'm making a difference.

As I'm sure you know, after Chicago, Elicith stepped in as a savior. I'm pretty sure she's using the incident as a means of uniting the protectorates. If you want to keep your freedom, I suggest you stay far away from the Great Lakes regions for a while, or the Americas in general. Which, if this finds you at Nathan's you should be far from anyway.

Take care of yourself as best you can and for god's sake take care of her,

CeLeSTe
