A glass vase hit my head smashing into what felt like a billion pieces. Frustrated I swung a third time missing her again. " Alicia listen to me, your father lost everything . We even had to sell all over belongings to pay the bank , they repossessed the house . We have nothing left , millions ! Gone all because your father decided to make stupid business decisions. We can no longer afford to keep you." Baffled I stood staring at her , trying understand why I should die simply because we were broke . " Then why kill me!" I said to her , my voice coming out weak. " Well child let me tell you a story" she said while giving me a mischief smirk
