Blythe's POV

I woke up in the sound of my alarm. Time to get up. I headed for the bathroom and did my usual morning routine. Except now, I'm doing it two hours earlier.

While I was brushing my teeth, napatingin ako sa salamin. Flood of thoughts came rushing in.

It's been two weeks since I last saw any of the Romanos. After going out with Skye, parang nag lie low ang magkakapatid at hindi ko nakita ni anino nila na umaaligid sa akin. I should be really happy that they left me in peace for now pero bakit parang madalas kong hinahanap hanap ang presensiya nila expecting them to show up suddenly?

Napadalas rin ang pagtambay ko sa balkonahe namin sa second floor sa pagbabakasakaling lilitaw doon si Hali.  Pero narinig ko kay Dana na sa penthouse raw ito ng kumpanya nag i-stay para sa training niya bilang next CEO. At least kay Skye alam ko kung nasaan siya dahil madalas siyang mag iwan ng message sa akin kung nasaan siya. She's somewhere around Africa right now. Nangangamusta siya sa akin at palaging binibigyang diin ang intensiyon niyang "panliligaw" raw kapag nakabalik na siya. Kaya sa tuwing babanggitin na niya iyon sa message niya ay hindi ko na siya nirereplyan. Natatawang napapailing nalang ako kapag nangyayari iyon. And Gaia? I saw her on the news the other day. Busy siya sa pagsama sa presidente dahil sa kinasasangkutang issue nito ngayon. I don't think I'll see her anytime soon. I kinda need to see her...because I miss her? Yeah, and I still needed to ask her about that...kiss.

I absentmindedly touched my lips. I haven't forgotten how mesmerizing that kiss was.

Pumasok ako sa walk-in closet ko at namili ng masusuot. It was recently filled with formal and semi-casual attire. Thanks to my mum who went shopping without my knowledge and I just went home to a closet full of new clothes. Hindi naman ako nagreklamo because duh, it's my mum who we're talking about. At tsaka may balak naman talaga akong bumili ng mga bagong damit dahil nga nag simula na ako sa trabaho.

Yep, I started working two weeks ago. The sole reason I have to go back here is because I received a very special request from my former professors—which I can proudly say, my colleagues now—that they needed a research specialist in their observatory. Well, given my educational background and it just so happened that I had my masters degree from one of the best universities in the world, any science institution would want to have me working in their labs. And I chose my alma mater from college here in the Philippines. It's been a ride full of exciting events since then.

Last week, I spent time familiarizing the faces and facilities in my new workplace. Hindi naman ako nahirapan dahil nga mga former professors ko rin noong college ang mga katrabaho ko. But there are still new people to meet. Katulad ng research team na ibinigay sa akin. Medyo awkward pa sila sa akin noong una dahil bihira raw sila makakita ng blue eyed na tao. Natawa nalang ako dahil doon and I told them that they can approach me anytime they want. And netong mga nakaraang araw masasabi kong nag improve na ang pakikitungo namin sa isa't isa. Hindi ko alam kung hanggang saan nila kakayanin ang pakikisama nila sa akin kapag nakita na nila na ang boss nila ay isang...magandang baliw. Lol! Sana hindi sila magsisi kapag nakita nila kapilyahan ko.

"Good morning fam!" Bati ko sa mga tao sa dining table. Himalang kumpleto kami ngayon. I kissed mum and dad on the cheek and did our handshake with my sibs.

"How's work sweetie?" tanong ni mum.

Kumuha ako ng fried rice at bacon, "It's fun mum."

"You mean fine? Because fun should not be the definition of work Blythe," Night interjected.

"What do you mean it can't be fun? Of course it can be! That's how we're supposed to view our works. Masaya lang. At masaya ako," I answered him.

"Oh please, don't get me started with work and fun and life Blythe," he rolled his eyes on me.
