-Chapter 2-

Padmé's POV

My sister had finally come to the throne room. She walked lively and with a wide toothy smile. I could tell she was nervous though, most likely because of the new visitors.
   "Good Morning (Y/N)," I greeted her as she neared. "Good Morning Padmé," she softly replied. "So (Y/N), I would like you to meet General Kenobi and the 501st." "Hey," Anakin said in a whining tone. I rolled my eyes thinking that he could be really immature sometimes. "She already knows you," I replied. "What, just wanted a nice introduction that's all," he smirked. I wanted to hit him on the shoulder, but I didn't want anyone suspecting anything.

Your POV

I was introduced to General Kenobi, Commander Cody, Captain Rex, and the rest of the 501st. They all were very nice and even though they looked similar, I could tell they each had their own personalities.

------- Short time skip-----

After brief introductions, you joined your sister on a stone bench in one of the court yard gardens. Like most afternoons on Naboo, the sun was gleaming and a thin layer of dew sat on top the freshly trimmed grass. The sounds and smells were just as pleasing. Birds calling to one another, the wind lightly blowing and the sound of water in a nearby river. These pleasant noises calmed you of any nerves you had previously experienced.
   You looked over at your older sister. She looked very nice in a formal dress and her hair was up in a fancy bun decorated with her crown. "So, why are those troopers here?", you asked curiously. "Well, they will be staying around for a little while. The generals, "you mean your boyfriend," you cut in. She teasingly hit you on the shoulder causing you to giggle. "Anyways, there have been some rumors going around that the Separatists want to invade Naboo, more specifically Theed. You nodded in agreement, but the thought of your home world getting attacked was quite scary. "It's just a rumor, but the Grand Republic wants to be safer than sorry. Plus the troops need some down time and this is an easy mission for them,"Padme said.
   The fear of the Separatist's threat left your mind as the thought of getting to hang out with the 501st and some of the 212th took its place. "How long will this last?" you asked as you tried to hide your excitement. "We do not know, but it could be for a while." Padme kept a straight face, but you could tell she was excited to spend time with Anakin.
   "Naboo is a very valuable asset to the grand Republic and if it needs protection, there is no lack of help," your sister finished, standing up to leave. You remained seated, wanting to enjoy the peace of the garden and the view of nature.
   You closed your eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on your (S/C) skin. "By the way, you look very nice today and I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who noticed." She said interrupting your relaxation. Before you could argue or question she had disappeared into the palace. Smiling, you closed your eyes again letting the breeze caress your checks and play with the flowers in your hair. With that you dozed off.
