hawkins, indiana 1983

hawkins was a small town in indiana where nothing happened. well of course until two girls showed up on one stormy night changing hawkins and the people of hawkins forever

-

the loud sound of the alarm rang throughout the hallways of hawkins lab. six's plan was finally put to play. as she ran throughout the hallways causing harm to anyone who was in her way. she saw a room with files and pictures of kids who looked familiar. the girl ran into the room searching for anything that could possibly help her. even though the girl could not read very well she still hoped for something that could help. coming across a file with the number 006 just like the tattoo on her wrist she quickly grabbed the file and continued her escape from hawkins lab.

running down the twisted halls she saw yet again another room. inside was a girl a little younger than six. the girl sat in the middle of the room with an unreadable expression. the girl appeared to be confused with a tinge of scared. nothing like this has ever happened at the lab.

"come with me" six spoke. the sound of guards quickly approaching. despite being scared the girl got up and they raced out of hawkins.

with guards on their toes they turned at the final turn only to be meet with more guards.

six using her powers she tilted her head to the left and the guards fell to the ground. six not realizing the girl she took along with her also had powers she turned around to see her lifting a table with medical supplies on it and throwing it at the guards.

with the guards down six then created a small flame in her hand and blew it towards the horrible people that kept her locked in this building for so long.

"come on we have to hurry up the guards won't be down forever" six said pointing at the couple of guards ahead of them.

・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.

outside of the lab rain poured continuously. thunder booming and lightning striking the sky every so often.

"what's your name?" six asked the girl. it was obvious by now that the girl was very shy.

"i'm eleven. what's yours?" eleven replied softly. six was happy that the girl had finally opened up and spoke.

"i'm six." she answered as they walked in comfortable silence. "what you did back there was super cool." six told eleven breaking the silence between them. eleven let out a light laugh making six break into a small smile. "thanks, what you did with the fire and everything was super cool too." they both smiled at each other. it was obvious that they had formed a bond with each other.

they heard a yell from behind them making both of their heads spin.

"there they are!"

they both ran faster than ever towards the tall electric fence. there was a tiny hole in the fence that only eleven could fit through. eleven glanced at six with fear laced in her eyes.

"you go through the hole. don't stop running until you're safe. i'll find a way out don't worry about me. i'll find you eventually i promise." six reassured eleven giving her a hug.

"what's a promise?" eleven asked.

"it's an assurance that something will happen. now go before you get caught."

six ran to the left around the perimeter of the gate. the guards coming closer six formed a fire in between her and the men.

eventually running to the entrance of the gate she ducked under the thin plastic barrier and made her run into the woods.

running deeper into the woods the girl heard a light screech. the sound of the rain hitting the trees blocked out any other noise, but the animal that made the noise made sure itself was heard.

after contemplating the possible actions of what to do the girl decided to run towards the screeching sound.

stopping every so often to catch her breath six eventually reached a house. the house was small and looked like a grayish color.

running into the back yard there were a bunch of clothes lines slung between trees. the clothes dripping from the rain making the rope curve.

while walking farther into the yard six heard the sound of a shed door slam and the sound of boxes and objects falling to the ground.

before she could do anything the lights inside the house started to flicker and a violent scream was heard mixed with the screeching from earlier. everything lasted for a second before everything fell silent besides the sound of the rain.

even though the sound of the rain was thought to be calming six was no where's near calm. not knowing if she should run towards the shed or run the other way she stood in the cold rain shivering.

after a couple seconds she slowly started to make her way to the shed.

the girl started to believe she was going crazy. if she actually heard what she heard there was no way a person could just disappear like that.

the brunette finally reached the shed door opening it slowly only to find nothing but a couple boxes toppled over and shot gun bullets all over the small table to her left.

six was surprised to find nothing in the shed. she swore she heard the door slam just a little bit earlier.

while deep in thought the teen heard the sound of her stomach rumble. as she glanced to the house and then back to the inside of the shed she gave up and headed to the house to find something to eat.

not knowing that this was a crime the girl searched through the fridge.

hawkins lab never fed the girl much food wanting to keep her in shape.

six's eyes eventually landed on the bag of baby carrots in the drawer and the bottle of ranch in the door of the fridge. remembering this as one of the foods she was allowed to eat inside the lab she found a plate and started to sit down and eat.

only getting a couple carrots in the girl heard the sound of a car pull up to the house.

becoming worried the lab may have caught her already she ran back to the yard. not knowing it was the older brother of the boy who vanished maybe fifty-five feet in front of her, she decided she would sneak into the front yard to see if it was actually the lab all ready to take her back.

realizing it was indeed not the lab she walked up the step to the porch and knocked on the door of the house. she was meet with a boy who looked to be around her age. the boy stood over her. he had longish light brown hair and pale skin.

the girl simply spoke four words to him.

"i need your help."
