"i need your help"jonathan looked down at the soaking wet girl with a confused expression. he has never seen this girl before. yes hawkins was a small town and he had thought he knew everyone.
"who are you?"
the question made six start to worry. does she tell him about the lab or just lie. if she told him about the lab he may tell someone, but then if she told him the truth it could give him even more of a reason to help her.
six lifted her wrist up to show the boy her tattoo.
"i'm six who are you?"
"i'm um jonathan" the boy replied.
"can you let me in" the girl asked.
jonathan looking more confused than ever hesitantly let the girl in.
"why do you have a tattoo on your wrist?"
six deciding it would be best to possibly have one person on her side she sat down at the table where she left her carrots and ranch from earlier and pulled out the manila folder she grabbed back in the lab
"i'll tell you everything, but you have to promise not to tell anyone."
a worried expression quickly took over jonathan's face as he nodded towards the girl. completely forgetting to check on will to make sure he got home from mikes house alright, he took a seat across from the girl.
"i was kidnapped as a little girl. i don't remember everything though only bits and pieces. someone from hawkins lab picked me up on the streets one day and that's all i remember."
jonathan quickly believing what she said was a lie he nodded her on. yea jonathan hadn't heard much about hawkins lab but he never heard stories of them kidnapping little kids.
"i think they stripped me of some memories back in the lab. i can't read or write very well. i remember them doing a bunch of tests on me though." six was scared to tell him the next part. she knew he wouldn't believe her until she showed him, but she still continued on.
"the tests they did would give me powers, but they would also drain me. sometimes they would make my brain work to hard. i think that's the reason i don't remember much from before the lab." six stumbled over her words a little scared of jonathan's reaction.
"uh what kind of powers" jonathan replied. if he didn't think this girl was a nut job before he definitely does now.
"i can create fires with my mind and i can make people become unconscious. before i left the lab though they were trying to teach me something new. i've only done it a couple times but i was able to change the form of something." six said smiling to herself feeling somewhat proud of what she can do.
"show me" jonathan challenged her. the brunette simply stood up from her chair and waved her hand a little until a flame was created in her palm.
"holy shit" jonathan said becoming impressed at what the girl can do.
"i had made a plan to leave the lab a while ago" the girl continued her story. "after all the tests and torture they put me through i finally found a way to use my powers to my advantage. on my way out i found a room and it had this in it." she flicked her eyes down to the manila folder.
"it had my number on it so i picked it up. i also helped another girl escape, she also had powers but they were different than mine. she was able to lift things and throw them."
"telekinesis" jonathan mumbled. it was something he had heard of and read in comic books as a little kid, but he never knew it was something that was real.
"teleki-what" six said not knowing what jonathan had just said.
"it's pretty much what you just said, you're able to throw things and pick up objects with your mind." jonathan informed the girl.
"ohh okay well anyways. her name was eleven. we had to part ways though because the workers from the lab caught up to us. that's why i'm here. i need a place to stay even if it's just for a couple days or until i know they aren't looking for me anymore. it may be a long time though, they are dangerous in there. they will do anything to get eleven or i back. i was hoping i could look through this folder here and see if it tells me anything about me before i was taken to the lab."
"you can stay in the shed." jonathan quickly offered the girl. he wasn't going to make her stay in the rain all night. the girl seemed genuinely scared.
six slightly stiffened up at the mention of the shed, but she knew she could hold her own incase anything that happened earlier was what she thought it was.
"uh okay. thank you" the girl was so desperate that she would take anything. "can i open this up with you. i don't know much about the world outside of the lab maybe this will help me get a better understanding of who i am."
jonathan simply nodded as the girl pulled the folder right in front of her. inside was a bunch of documents and pictures.
one page grabbed the girls attention as she picked it up and read it over.
"brianna, brianna moore" the girl said staring down at her paper.
"what?" the boy asked.
"that's my name." the girl smiled looking up at the byers boy. "that's my actual name."
the girl was in shock. after all these years of being named after a number she finally found out what her name was.
after looking through the papers some more the girl found out her birthday was february 16th and that she was 16 years old. she also found out she's originally from a town called morris which is about 45 minutes south of hawkins.
the girl yawned from the extreme tiredness she felt. escaping from hawkins lab had made her quite sleepy.
"we can get you set up in the shed soon if you're tired." jonathan offered, rising from his chair.
"that would be great" brianna sent him a small smile.
・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.
"thank you for everything you've done" brianna said to jonathan as he was about to leave the shed.
"no problem brianna. you can stay here as long as you need. maybe we can even get you set up for high school" he looked at the girl hopefully.
"that would be nice jonathan. i want to be normal for a little. i want to live like a normal teenager and not like some lab rat." she smiled at the boy as he left the shed.
"good night jonathan" brianna said before he completely shut the shed doors.
"good night brianna." jonathan gave her a small reassuring smile before he completely closed the shed door.
and with that the brunette fell asleep happy for once. she fell asleep with a smile on her face feeling hopeful that things will finally change and be better.
the girl was finally free.
