An accident.

Chapter uno

"We'll see you soon mother." My brother not so quietly whispers to our mother as he pats her back gently and pulls out of the tight hug she has him in. She sniffles then nods, looking over at me.

I give her a small smile. She pulls me in for a hug. "I'll miss you guys so much." She sobs on my shoulder. Malakai and I both tell her we will miss her too.

"We need to go soon, Kai." I hear my best friend yell from the car, my mother pulls away from me wiping her tears away.

"Jheez ma, it's not like we're dying or leaving forever. We're only gonna be gone for a couple months then we're coming back for Christmas." Malakai says rolling his eyes at my mothers emotional state. I punch him in the bicep as hard as I can. He whines.

"Ow! The fuck you do that for Kaia." He yells getting in my face. I roll my eyes at him trying to be a tough guy and push him away from me.

"Language Malakai!" My mother scolds him, I smirk at him before grabbing my suit case and walking to the car, but not before giving my mom a kiss on the cheek, telling her I love her.

I throw my stuff in the back with the rest of our junk. "Come on Malakai we're gonna be late for our flight you idiot!" My
best friend Arizona yells at my brother, picking up a rock from the ground and throwing it at him, hitting him in the back. I chuckle.

"What the fuck, Arizona!" He yells storming towards the car, Arizona squeals jumping back into the car and locking her door.

If you haven't noticed by now, my brother is in kind of a mood. He's always like this in the morning, and it's currently 6:30AM. He's not very happy about having a early flight.

We all say goodbye before driving to Sean's house to get him, he's my close friend, but Malakai's best friend.

Once we get into Seans driveway he runs out of his house and sprints to the car. He swings the back door open and jumps in beside Malakai, throwing his bags in with him.

"What's up with you?" Arizona asks looking through the rear view mirror, raising her perfectly shaped eyebrow at him.

"Drive, hurry up." He says out of breath. His house door slams open and a very angry looking Samantha comes running towards our car. "GO NOW ARIZONA!" He yells from the back seat.

Arizona quickly pulls out of the driveway just in time because Samantha was almost at the car. She floors the gas since there's no cars or people out yet.

"What did you do to your sister this time, Sean?" I ask turning my body so I could look at him.

He sighs shaking his head. "I woke her up with a nice big bucket of ice cold water, again." He explains. I laugh shaking my head, as does Arizona. I look over at my twin brother and see he's fast asleep.

I roll my eyes at him, blasting music through the speakers, waking him up. He glares at me while I smile innocently and turn my body to sit in the seat properly.

The drive to the airport doesn't take long, once we get there we wait for our flight to be called. After about a half an hour we're finally on the plane taking our seats. Malakai and Sean got seats beside each other alone, while me and Arizona got a 3 rowed seat with someone we don't know.

"I can't believe we're going to California!" Arizona says, excitement coating her voice. I chuckle.

"I know, me too. I'm still surprised we all got into the same university." I say while fidgeting with my hands. I always do that when I'm nervous, this is only my second time on a plane.

"I know right? It's weird, but I love that we all don't have to be separated." She whispers looking over towards Sean and Malakai. I nod and look their way as well to see them in a conversation.

after a few more hours our plane finally arrives to our destination, we get our stuff and make our way off the plane.

I'm one of the last ones to get off the plane, I smile as I step onto the cement ground off the stairs.

"Hello California." I say quietly, smiling while look at the beautiful sky.
