IT HAD BEEN a year since everything had happened. Will Byers disappearance, fake death, funeral, and so much more that had scarred sunny Harrington for life. Especially the new disappearance of the girl they called eleven. Sunny had missed her. She missed her voice, she missed having to explain what certain words meant, she missed the jokes she made about Mike and her. She missed her.
She had stopped hanging out with the party and went back to her mean, bitchy ways. Getting into fights, getting drunk and smoking cigarettes on her roof, wearing her usual t-shirt and jeans. And hiding in the closet from her classmates about being gay. She wouldn't mind coming out. It's just she hated her school. There where so many homophobic's, so many that she just couldn't bear it. Especially her parents. Two homophobics with a gay daughter? And she definitely didn't want to be disowned, although it wouldn't be too bad. So she stayed uncomfortable in the closet just waiting for someone to open it and let her out.
She had been waiting for a guardian angel She had been waiting for someone. Anyone.
And that wouldn't be a good thing for the next year.
