Wedding Day

Today was the day where my father, King Philip II, would be marrying another woman that was not my mother. Since, my father thought that one male heir to the throne was not enough. So, he decided to marry another female to produce some more heirs to the throne. So, what my mother if worried about is if the new Queen of Macedon gets with child and it is a heir then my brother, Alexander, will lose his spot as the heir to the throne. So, my mother has been plotting to kill the queen when she get's with child (and if she get's with child that is). But, my mother wants me to play a role in killing the queen. She say's she wants me to get in the queen's favor like I have done with my father. My mother know's I will always be my father's favorite child due to me being "the spitting image of his grandfather" as he likes to say.

So, here I am walking down the aisle holding the soon-to-be Queen of Macedona's veil. My mother tell's me I am like Aphrodite. I have her charm and her beauty. She say's that I was a blessing and a gift from the Gods and Goddess' from the very beginning. But, I really don't understand what she means when she say's that. But, I guess you can say my mother always has spoken in riddles since my brother and I have been born. I was interrupted from my thoughts when my father took Aalexia's (made up so bare with me) hand. I stood by Aalexia's side the whole entire time. She looked down at me giving me her famous smile. For some odd reason I didn't feel any guilt for deceiving Aalexia. Due to that, I am protecting my brother's throne and future, as well as mine if I want to see Persia. I know most of the time the Gods and Goddess' would have strike down the blasphemer who would attempt to do that to any royal. But, yet again mother say's that the Gods and Goddess' favor Alexander and I.

The end of the ceremony came and now it was time for the coronation of Aalexia. I noticed my mother kept on giving me the look of telling me that she knows that I am considering my future in Persia. I stood by my father this time the whole time due to me being the only royal daughter of his. Meanwhile, Alexander stood by Aalexia to signify that if she get's with child he will lose his title as heir to throne of Macedona. The coronation finally ended when Aalexia accepted her obligations as the new Queen of Macedona. Soon, a feast erupted in full swing. There were drunkards and whores. People were dancing with joy but were not quite as coordinated as they usually are when they are sober. Some people were having the time of their lives for they knew that this was a big celebration of a new era as some people like to think. Little did my father's people know that this would be a new era for my brother Alex. But, as the party continued it got more and more out of hand. People could tell that my mother didn't want me and my brother here. My mother doesn't like Alexander and I to be at the feasts due to how crazy the feasts can get, but this one we were required to go to due to it was the joining of two houses. The whole time my mother was there I noticed she kept on giving jealous looks to Aalexia, due to how Aalexia probably viewed as a daughter now. But, my mother new she had to hold her tongue from lashing out for her plan would be ruined if one slip was to take place. I knew my mother is always protective of my brother and I, but sometimes she can get a little too over protective. But, Alexander and I still love her for who she is no matter what she has said or done."Olivia, my dearest child how would you like to be my chosen heir?" asked Aalexia breaking me out of my thoughts. Everybody went into a deep silence knowing that a female on the throne would result in many people wondering whether or not the King and Queen were strong. I didn't know how to reply, I looked over to my brother to see him urging me to say something. "I would love to be your heir Queen Aalexia," I politely replied after awhile. My father instantly got a smile on his face and said, "Olivia my precious fury I would be honored to have you as my heir, but you do realize once a male is born you will be second in line right?" I saw my mother's eye's narrow when he used my mother's endearment that only she uses for me. "Yes, father I do realize that," I replied.

The festivities continued once everything settled down, I finally realized that I was the new heir to the throne of Macedona. At least, temporarily until we kill the new queen and put my brother back in his rightful place. Later, that night I snuck into Alexander's room. "Alexander... Alexander you awake?" I asked. My brother slowly turned to face me and replied, "Yes, my sunshine I am awake. Why are you here what troubles you so?" I began to wonder what was really troubling me? Was it the fact that I took my own brother's throne away from him? Or was it the fact that I am taking part in a plot to kill the new queen? I did not know. "Nothing brother. Just wanted to sleep with you tonight. If that is alright with you?" I asked. He moved over slowly and made room for me. An then, I fell into a dreamless sleep.

Dear Readers,
Just wanted to let you know this chapter was kind of a filler kind of not. Also, just wanted to let you know that I am slowly but surely making my way up to the Apollo romance. I just think that a little background info about Olivia is necessary. But, just so you know I am thinking of doing a sequel to this book and also skipping her age a bit forward to progress the book. Let me know what you think.
