I was on the deck of the boat knowing that I really enjoyed the sea and hoped to travel the world. But, as I stared out at the ocean I saw the dolphins splashing and playing with eachother. I gently held on to the necklace my mother gave me when I was a little girl. I remember she always wanted me to be more accomplished than any other princess there was in the world. Knowing my mother right now she is grieving very much and I couldn't help but feel that the dolphins had it so easy. They reminded me of when I was a child and how they still have a child like innocence. I knew by the time I was 13 years old I lost my innocence due to knowing so much and having so much knowledge crammed into my skull. Also, by the age of 13 I knew how to read and write Greek, the Persian language, Egyptian, Hebrew, Latin, and a little bit of Germanic and Italian.

Also, I knew how to play many exotic instruments from all over the world that my mother loved to spoil me with. Not that I minded I loved the indulgence of music it seemed to calm me down. Music has it's own meaning and no one seems to realize that except for the few lucky who do realize the meaning behind music. I am also quite the philosopher, both, my mother and my former teacher (Aristotle) say's. I can even fight some just in case for self defense. But, I was mostly trained in politics when I was made the heir of the throne by Aalexia and my step- father. Some say I am even the next rising philosopher, but knowing me I would want to keep in the shadows and not be the next Aristotle or Plato. One question I wanted answered was ever since I was a little girl is how will all this knowledge come to use in my future? How can this help with my Odyssey?

I was interrupted from my thoughts when I heard the sound of somebody shouting at another person. I turned to see what the commotion was all about. I saw a man dressed in royal garb I recognized and a little girl next to him. A long with an adolescent about a year or two older than me.All of them dressed in royal garb with their signature seal on their clothing. I saw one of the crew member's were yelling at the monarch. I headed over and began to speak in Persian, "Is there a problem, your Excellency?" I asked very slowly bowing. He turned sizing me up as if he was debating whether or not I was worth his time. He probably noticed that I was some "poor peasant girl". "Yes, there is. This imbecile is telling at us for no reason. I do not understand of what language his origin is. May you help us if you perhaps speak his language?" he asked quizzically. "Yes, I do speak Greek, your Excellency," for a second he looked stunned, but hid it under his poker face that I assumed was usually like that. "What is your name child?" he asked.

"My name is, Olivia your Excellency, I seek passage to Persia," I explained. "Well, Olivia how do you know my homeland's language when few peasants speak and know of the country, Persia?" he asked me. I forgot that fact and decided to say that my mother was a philosopher. "Excellency, my mother was a philosopher. She used to live in Persia herself and taught me how to speak your language. Then she taught me all she knew. Thus, giving me knowledge and enabling me to speak your language," I explained. I knew lying to royalty was wrong but I knew I couldn't reveal my identity or they would take me as an invader of their land. "Well, child tell me what all has your mother taught you in her time span of life? Hmm?" he asked as if he was expecting a lowly peasant not to know much. "Well, Excellency I know a little bit of Italian and German. I know how to properly read, write, and speak Greek, Persian, Egyptian, Hebrew, and Latin. I know self defense taught from my step-father. Also, I know how to play some instruments and I am quite the politician some people say," I said proudly not backing down.

He seemed completely stunned. The next question he asked was a complete shock to me, "Well, Olivia will you kindly accompany me and my family to my palace and seek shelter there and will you do us the honor of becoming Persia's next Royal Advisor?" it was my turn to be stunned. I knew if I turned down his offer that would basically be a slap in the face and I couldn't do that. So I said, "Your Excellency, I will gladly accept your offer on one condition," I requested. "And what is that my dear," he replied."That no one ask about my past unless I grant them permission to know otherwise. I don't want people to know about me. But, I am more than willing to be apart of Persia's court if you allow me this one small request," he looked like he was debating and then very slowly nodded his head as if cautious of my request. "Well, my new royal advisor welcome to the family. I am King Xerxes (sorry for the historical inaccuracy but that is the first name that popped up in mind lol) this is my daughter Lela, and my heir to the throne and only son Perses (pronounced Per- seys basically as it looks). "Well, your Excellency it is quite an honor to meet you all," a smile gracing my face. I very slowly bowed to them then said,"Now I will help you with your bags and then I will be headed to my own room if that is alright?"

"That is quite alright Olivia. Also, please call me Perses I hate formalities," he said giving me a genuine smile lighting it up with the whole room. All of a sudden I got weak kneed and almost collapsed but caught myself before I did. I knew instantly that this Prince would give my heart troubles in the future. His smile almost reminded me of Apollo's. Almost. As soon as I helped everyones bags into their designated rooms I left to my own finally relaxing. I just finally realized that I am royal advisor of the King and that is a pretty high status. Only the highest and most trusted get that job so would would the king give me that job? All I knew is that I am really content and I didn't want anything to ruin my mood. Deciding to take a nap I changed into sleeping ware and collapsed onto my bed. Going into a sleep dreaming about my dream man...
