Chapter 2 - Losers
Lucy's POV
So, my first day in high school didn't go very well. I got my schedule in the mail a couple weeks ago, and luckily me and Desrée have ALL the same classes. Jordan is a year older than us. When the first day of school rolled around, Desrée came to pick me up at my gigantic mansion, which I think is too big. Desrée and Jordan both think it's amazing. Anywaaaaaay. So we get to school (my sister drove us), and walk through the doors. Holy crap. The place was HUGE! And then, what do you know, Gretchen walks through the door. "Hey deafy!" I see her mouth out. Then she starts mouthing off to me like I'm some kind of retard. "Can you hear me?" she said slowly. "Oh yeah that's right, no you can't!" She threw her head back in laughter. Whatever, I thought.
1st period was awful. The teacher didn't get the fact that I was deaf, so whenever he asked me a question and I didn't answer, he thought I was ignoring him and then I got sent to the principals office. Apparently, none of the teachers from last year old them I was deaf, and they "lost" that file. So my mom got called. She had to explain EVERYTHING to them. It was terrible.
So, at lunch one of the guys from the football team - I think this guy's name is Jack - came over to us at our loner table. He grabbed my board and scribbled down on it, "Will u go out wit me????" I scribbled back, "No thank you. I don't need a relationship right now." He frowned and ran back to his table. I hate it when guys do that. I reeally annoys me.
I hate school. Alot.
