Katerina walked down the long straight road with no intention of ever looking back. Her eyes a pretty gold color watched the distance while the strong wind blew at her long light brown hair. She kept thinking of
James and how his powers where so much more advanced the hers. She had the power over tides and magic. He controlled fire and heat. They were opposites in many ways but she still fell hard with him. And the one night that she went to talk to him he admitted he liked her too. She had smiled and he bent down one hand on the he barn next to them another on her arm. But he must have gotten too excited because his His hand caught fire and he burned. she remembers yelling at him and crying. She remembered running while he yelled at her to come back. She remembered the pain. She kept going. She took nothing with her as she had run out of her village and down the long road. Kat couldn't go back. She just couldn't. To face him after that would be unthinkable. No she would find a new village. On their side of America, of course. Ever since the great Bender war America had been split in half to stop the endless bloodshed. The west half was given to the benders( people who controled the diffrent elements and objects), the line made on the left side of where Missouri would have been stretching to the tops and bottoms of Americas borders. The east side left to the normals. Neither were permitted to cross. A small town was devoted to both sides so if a threat was made to the whole country they could work together. No one really lives there. ...
On the horizen Katerina began to see a small village. She couldn't wait to join them. Nine hours of
walking and she needed a break. As she got closer she knew it would be better than Arna, her old village. Her family might be worried but they never liked her anyway.
