If you're going to start learning dance and want to get better at it I would recommend taking some music lessons. Like paying attention in music class or try to learn an instrument. Learning an instrument or learning to read music becomes very helpful in dance. This way you get to learn rhythm, to be on beat and feel the music. This really comes in handy when freestyling. When learning a dance try counting by 8s to help you break down the dance to make it easier. If you can, go to a dance studio to practice. Dance studios have lots of room for you to practice and have a huge mirror for you to see if you making a mistake. But some of you may not be able to do that. That's okay, you can do it at home. Make sure you have room and have a body mirror. The mirror is to help you to see if you make mistakes. I would recommend investing in one to get better at dancing. Every month I recommend to record your self dancing so you can see your self-improvement. They may be cringy but it's worth it.
