2016

【5:39】

On my windowsill, I sat staring out the window as I watched the sky change colors, in my bed clothes, which was just a very oversized T-Shirt and shorts.  It went to almost my knees, it was colored light blue and white ombré, also had white wings on the back.  It had washed up on one of my beaches around a year and a half ago.

I don't know about the outside world, I've never had anyone come for as long as I can remember, which, to take into account, is like.... 836 days.

I woke up on my land in this house, it was just a log cabin, and it held up well to many conditions, but was old.

I never knew how it got there, I'm the only person here as far as I know, but I'm glad, cause I'd be freezing in the winters. Plus, I call it home...

It had reached Twilight, and by then I had gotten changed and ready. I wore my bed clothes out, with my large, gray NATO hoodie around my waist.

I never knew where the hoodie came from, but it provided me a feeling of comfort in the loneliness of solitude here...

I walked the beach, being careful of sea turtle nests, there was plenty at this part of the beach,  I kept it closed off to protect the babies, but everything else was open.

I saw a something along the horizon, which I thought was odd but shrugged it off, normally anything like that would just pass on by.

Walking through the forest was always nice, seeing flowers and little creatures galore...

It wasn't as nice when I heard footsteps, Which I thought was just am animal friend of mine, my big doggie, he's around the size of a greyhound, but a bit furry and has white eyes.

Pay attention to the 'I thought' part.

Well anyways I noticed the footsteps sounded heavier but shook it off, he's been eating well.  So I turned around, only to be greeted by a face I really Didn't recognize.

It was a tall man, he had 3 different colors on his face, which I caught a glimpse of, Blue, Red, and white?

He stared at me for a few seconds, it feeling like minutes trying to decipher who and what is this thing.

He carefully stepped closer while I backed away with every step, before I quickly turned and ran as fast as I could.

I knew he would catch up to me soon, as I could tell by the footsteps running towards me, but I didn't care. I booked it.  Dove and hid in a bush as quick as I could.

He called out, "Hey! Don't leave!"

Being silent as I sat in said bush, Shaking a little, but thankfully it wasn't enough to shake the shrubbery I was in.

I heard them stop when he was nearby, and I halted my shaking, breathing slower and quieter.

"Huh...? Where'd she go?"

I thought I was in the clear and peeked through the bush, seeing he wasn't there, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Of course it didn't last long.

"Hello!"

He was RIGHT in front of me.

I quickly got up, pushing him down so I'd get a head start, running again.
