Chapter 9 - The Fear

(Let's just say this chapter is kind a bit more subtle than I thought. I don't wanna spoil too much but, Akari uncovers a secret that he wants to find more about and Y/N starts having nightmares - Vivi ❤️.

It was the day after the incident with her and Akari. Her heart was beating faster than ever. Her and Akari are dating. That's something she never thought could be possible.

School was out today for weather issues but there were rumors that some students were still hanging around campus. Why? No idea. Y/N didn't pay much attention too it. She was watching the tv when she heard, "A female student reported dead mysteriously." Y/N flipped the TV off, "Sigh. It was fun. Great memories". Y/N hanging upside from the sofa with a lollipop in her mouth, drifted off to sleep.

~•~ Y/N's First Nightmare ~•~

Y/N was suddenly in a room full of blood. She saw her best friends dead body laying in the middle of the room.

All she saw was walls, it looked dark. Y/N walking up to her friends body realizing she was dead. Y/N started crying, she got flashes of images of her best friends grave stone with wilted roses next to it. "W...what? H...how? EMILY?? EMIII!!". There was no response. She quickly grabbed her friends body and tried waking her up. Tears falling down Y/N's face. All of a sudden Y/N heard loud banging, waking up from her dream someone was pounding on the door. "Y/N???!!!!! LEMME IN!" It sounded like Akari.

~•~ Back To Reality ~•~

Quickly opening it she saw a worried Akari tackling her with hugs. "ARE YOU OK? You were freaking out. I heard crying, you screaming someone's name?" Y/N trying to process what just happened, remembering her nightmare she bursted into tears. "A..Akari. I'm sorry. You shouldn't see me like this." Confused he hugged her tightly and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry, tell me what's bothering you. I will handle it."

Akari brining Y/N to the sofa, sat down and nodded for her to continue. "I had a nightmare. It wasn't any nightmare though. It was horrific. It was my biggest fear that came to life".

Akari tried to relate to Y/N to feel her pain. "The nightmare was like losing someone close to you. Akari. Imagine losing someone who's very close to you! But the entire thing is a nightmare, and you can't do anything to stop or change it."

That struck something in Akari. He didn't like thinking about losing Y/N. He didn't like thinking about his life without Y/N, or Ayumu.

Ayumu was like a brother he always wanted but never had. Y/N, oh Y/N, is something else too him. He grabbed onto to Y/N's hand tight. "A..Akari..." looking at Y/N he realized he was holding onto her too tightly. Loosening his grip but still grasping on, he looked her in the eyes. His cold, lifeless eyes and said,

"If anyone... anyone tries to take you or Ayumu away from me. They will die. They will be on the floor. Not you. Not Ayumu. You hear?"

Y/N shocked but quickly and silently nodded. She's never really heard anything like that from Akari. She didn't feel scared though, she felt like she could relate to him. Almost as if she felt the same way but was too nervous and worried to say it aloud.

She hugged Akari tighter as she cried into his shoulder. "I love you, Akari." Hoping she didn't hear, he whispered back. "I love you to."

Akari getting up, and kissing Y/N on the cheek. "I have to go, I'll call you later. I just wanted to check up on you real quick. Call ME if you need anything. Ok? I'll be there as soon as I can."

Y/N nodded and hugging Akari one last time as if a toddler not wanting him to leave. He patted her head and gave her a reassuring smile. Y/N was too afraid to take a nap again. She decided to waste time by watching shows and playing on her phone. When she checked the time it was already.. "11:45 pm??" She swears she wasn't on the phone for that long. Her battery was on 4%.
