Chapter 3

Earth

Did P'Podd want to sleep in my apartment? He wasn't kidding, right? Actually I wanted him to stay for a night. It would be easy if he went to work from my apartment. Sometimes he looked tired when he arrived at the office. It was because of me. I always called him to kill my time. I was bored at home alone. It was fun when he was with me. He always had something to say. He always had ideas to go. If he stayed near the office, he wouldn't feel tired.

"Earth?" Are you listening to me?"
P' Podd patted my shoulder.
"Eh, that's... that's okay, P. You can go to the office from here. So, you're not tired. You can sleep here."

He thought for a while. He looked into my house. It made me nervous. What happened to me?

"Ah, thanks, Earth. I think I should go home. It's still 7.30 pm. I have time to take a rest. Well, bye, Earth. Take care. Make sure you lock the door."

He refused. It would sound strange if I forced him to stay.

"Okay, P. Please drive safe."
He nodded.

I closed the door without looking at him walk away from my apartment door.
I stood behind the door and controlled my breath. It's dangerous, Earth. Why was this feeling?
My heart beat faster. Don't say that I like P' Podd more than friends.

Two hours later.
P Podd usually posted something in his IG. There was none now. Did he arrive at home safely?
Should I call him?

"Hello?" Thanks God he answered my call.

"Hello, Earth. Are you there?" P Podd sounded worried because I was silent after hearing his voice.

"Yes, P. Are you at home?"
"Of course. Why?"

"Nothing. I just wonder why you didn't post something on your IG. You usually post everything before you sleep."

"Ha ha... you know me. I'm just tired so I want to sleep."

"Did I wake you up?"

"No, you didn't. By the way, Earth, tomorrow is your friend's graduation, right?"

Friend? Who? Oh, Joss. He posted on his IG that tomorrow will his big day.

"That's right, P. Why?"

"Nothing. He just sent an invitation in our GMM group."

"How about going to his college, P?" I wanted P Podd have a lot of friends, so I asked him to go there.

"Sure. Actually I want to ask you to go there together. I know Joss for a couple of times at GMM. He is nice, and he talks about you a lot."

"Really? He is my best friend at GMM. Well, P... You don't need to pick me up. Just go to the college and I'll meet you there."

"Why, Earth?"
"Nothing, P. I don't want to see you tired. I will drive my own car there."

"Okay. Well, it's eleven o'clock. We should wake up earlier tomorrow."

"Okay, P. Good night."

I felt relieved. I couldn't wait for tomorrow.

Today I went to Joss's college alone. I had called Earth but there was no answer.

"Earth, where are you?" I called him again. This was the fifth.
"Sorry, P. I woke up late. Right now, I'm on the way, but the traffic was awful."
I was worried but I had to find Joss now.

"Joss, congratulations. Here is for you." I congratulated Joss and gave a small gift to him.
"Thanks. Where is Earth?"
"He is late."

I wonder what Joss was thinking about me and Earth. He always talked about Earth when he met me. Did he like Earth?

I decided to walk around. Joss's college was beautiful. I took an IG story because I was bored.

"P Podd, finally I found you." Earth surprised me from behind.
"Here is Earth. He is very late." I teased him while I was taking an IG story.
"Sorry, P." Oh Earth looked cute.

We enjoyed the sightseeing. After that we went to meet Joss again. There were many actors and Joss's fans. So, we took a picture together.

Earth and I were in a restaurant. Joss invited us for a dinner. Kenji was with us. He is Joss's friend too. We enjoyed the dinner on the rooftop. It looked romantic for couples.

I teased Earth who doesn't like onion and carrot. He looked cute when he was eating.

"P Podd, can I ask you something?" Kenji who was sitting beside me whispered to my ear.

"What is it?" I replied him by whisper.

" Do you like Earth?" I was speechless. I didn't know what to say.

How could he ask that question?
