Chapter 5

Earth

"Do you like me, Earth?" I was so surprised by P Podd's question.

I told him the truth that my heart beat faster when he slept next to me. I knew that he couln't sleep. He always moved and I certainly knew that he wasn't comfortable.

Kenji texted me that he thought P' Podd liked me. He knew it from his attention towards me. He said P' Podd looked like  a boyfriend for me.

You know what? Actually I was happy. It's not only me who thought P Podd liked me. Kenji said it too. Sometimes, Joss or New asked me some questions related to P Podd. Did I show my interest in him or did P Podd?

"P, I don't know what I feel toward you right now. But I ensure that I like you to be here with me. I just feel nervous. You are the one who knows me well even though we've been friends for some months."

"Me, too, Earth. I also felt nervous with you here. But if I stay away from you, ..."

"Don't stay away from me, P. Let's get used to it." I didn't know why I said this. P Podd perhaps thought that I was agressive. But it was okay.

"What if my feeling for you become love, Earth?"
"I don't mind." What? Was I stupid?
"What if you don't love me when I love you?" He asked me again.
"P, don't think what happens next. Just think about this time. We have to calm our heart, so that we can sleep well tonight."

"Okay." Then P Podd fixed the blanket and tried to sleep. He gazed me and I did too.
When my arm touched him, he didn't move his arm. He slowly held my hand.

"Can I?" I answered him with smile and nodded. Then he held my hand tightly. Believe or not, my heartbeat was normal. I just felt warmth. Then we both could sleep well.

At 5 o'clock in the morning, I woke up but I couldn't move my body. These arms? P Podd' arms? He hugged me. I felt my cheeks hot and my heart beat faster again.

I tried to release my body from his arms. Fortunately, P Podd slept very soundly. Then i took a bath to cold my body.

After few minutes, I came out of the bathroom only with shorts because I forgot to bring my towel. I put it on the chair beside my bed last night.
So, I ran quickly to take my towel. Luckily, P Podd still slept.

Aftee I changed my clothes in the bathroom, I came out and I saw some water drips on the floor. They must be because I ran to take my towel.

Then I took a rag to dry the floor. When I was mopping it, I heard P Podd talked alone.

"That's my servant. He mopped the floor." Then I looked at him. He was taking an IG story.
"Oi P what were you saying!" Then I threw the rag towards him. He was surprised because the rag exactly hit his head.
"I'm sorry, P." Laughing, I ran toward him and checked his head.

"I'm alright." He said while stopping his IG story.

"What are you doing, Earth?" He was still laying on the bed.
"Just mop the floor."
"With a rag?"
"Yes. I made a mess when I finished taking a bath. By the way, what is your plan today, P?"

"I will go home. I have nothing to do today."
"Alright." He wanted to leave after he hugged me last night? Was he unconcious when he hugged me?

"Do you have any plan today, Earth?"
"No, P. I don't have schedule today."
"Come to my house if you like," said P Podd while folding my blanket.
"Can I?"
"Of course. I have slept in your apartment. So, I have to invite you to my house. You have seen my house, right?"
"Yeah, but I haven't entered your house."
"Well, I'll take a bath first, then we go." I was really happy. It was the first time P Podd invited me. We never met in our houses before. He always picked me up at my apartment's parking area or univ.
"Wait, P! I want to order food delivery. Do you like pizza for breakfast, P?"
"Yes, it's okay." While waiting for the pizza, P Podd took a bath. I cleaned my room.
When I saw the blanket we shared last night, I smiled and remembered how P Podd held my hand and hugged me. I felt someone protect me.

After we had breakfast, we went to P Podd's house. In the journey, we talked about Joss and Kenji. Sometimes we talked about good restaurants. P Podd was a bachelor of culinary arts and kitchen management. No wonder he liked cooking and visiting restaurants.

"We arrived, Earth," said P Podd.
"Who is in your house, P?"
"My mum. Let's go!" I was really nervous. It was like meeting my mother-in-law.
"What, Earth? Are you nervous?"
"Actually yes."
"Don't worry. My mum is a friendly woman."
P Podd suddenly grabbed my hand and we entered his house. A beautiful woman came and greeted us. She hugged P Podd tightly. It was strange. P Podd always goes home after his schedule. Why did his mum hug him?

"Mae, this is Earth. I've told you before."
"Oh, this is Earth. You are cute and handsome. No wonder my son likes you." What? His mum knew that P Podd likes me? What did he say to his mum?

"Let's sit, Earth. Podd stayed at your house last night. Was he naughty?"
Huh? What did she mean?
"No, Aunty. P Podd was a nice person. He took care of me well."
"Did you, my son? You are a careless person. How did you take care of Earth?"
"Please, Mum. Don't ask me about that. We are best friends. We take care each other." Best friends. He was right.

We spent two hours at P Podd's house. I visited his room. It was large and neat. There were only few things in his room, but it was comfortable.

"Earth, I want to show you a beautiful place where you can rest your mind. Can we go now? Then we will have lunch at my favorite restaurant."
"I'd love to, P. But how about your mum? She will have lunch alone."
"Don't worry about her. Let's go!" We then said goodbye to P Podd's mother. She was angry because she was cooking for the three of us. At the result, she put some cooked food and fruits in a basket and gave them for me.

P Podd drove me to a beautiful village. There was a small zoo and a river with trees on the both sides. It was very beautiful. It was green everywhere. The situation made me ease and refreshed. P Podd liked a place like this.

He took a picture with his smartphone. Sometimes he took a video of me. I didn't know why but i was smiling on the whole day.

It was 12 o'clock, and we should have lunch. P Podd asked me to a restaurant. Some girls were watching us. Was it because we wore black t-shirts so we looked like a couple? There were many girls. Perhaps they were my fans or P Podd's fans.

We decided to sit in the corner. P Podd sat beside me. While we were waiting for our order, we chatted. P Podd looked blushed at that time. I didn't know why, but suddenly he asked,

"Are you happy with me, Earth?"
