Two Boys, One Heart

chapter 1 - First day of school

It was the first day of high school for Gavin, he was extremely exhausted after staying up most the night playing smash bros trying to complete the game before he unfortunately had to stroll into his new school the next day. Gavin swiftly got himself off the bus and stumbled along the path to reach his capacious new school. It didn't take him long to reach the school grounds and to be greeted with bulging eyes from the teachers as they annalized each student walking in the school grounds, making sure none of the students were out of line. Gavin had only one friend out of five who applied to go to this school and it didn't take him long to lay his eyes on his friend, who's name was Chen, who stood by the door waiting for Gavin to show up. Gavin made his way towards her, and Chen stood there watching him make his way over to her to wgich she smiled as Gavin began to shout out. "Yo what's up, glad you could make to yo hell!" As they bro fisted before walking into the school doors.

The school was packed with students walking up and down the corridors and up and down the stairs which felt way different to primary school that Gavin and Chen were used too. Each student had a locker from the day they start, which Gavin and Chen did not have untill they went to collect a locker key and a time table from an office called "student services" After Collecting their locker key and placing their belonging in their locker, first lession began with the signal of a loud obnoxious bell sound and so they went off to their lession after looking at their time tables. Each lession drowned on for an hour, and after to passions it was finally break time and as soon as the teacher gives they all clear to leave, a bunch of students from each classroom fled out the classrooms and down the corridors to escape from hell for fifteen minuets. Gavin got out of his lession and walked across to Chan's classroom to wait for her, nobody was in the classroom other than the teacher and a student who had to stay behind for a couple minuets. "How fucking rude, she said if she's not by my lession she'll still be in her lession" Gavin thought to himself as he raced off to find where she had escaped off too.

Gavin and Chen normally played hide and seek, so Gavin treated the situation as that while he sped along each corridor and stairs to find her, nowhere to be found. He then looked outside and found her talking to a bunch of boys, noticing him walk though the door, she called him over. "Yo, dipshit come over here!" Laughing as she said It, he walked over to the group quietly. He asked in a low, mild stern voice, "How come you didn't wait for me like you said?" She smiled and replied, "come on Gavin, you're a big boy now, and anyway I had to go to the toilet I couldn't wait any longer and all the toilets on the first and second floor for girls were out if order so I had to go downstairs!" She turned to the group of boys and continued, "then I met the tall black haired guy at the back, his name is Nines." Gavin looked at the boy who she pointed out and his insides nearly crumbled before he smiled awakrdly and was about to give him his name but Chen butted in and said, "and this here is Gavin."

Chen introduced the other three boys to Gavin and they spoke for the rest of break about themselves, but as soon as it got to Gavin turn to talk about himself, the bell rang ordering all students to make their way to their lession, so they did. Just like before break, there were two passions before lunch time which was 40 minuets long. Gavin was relieved that he didn't have to talk about himself as he didn't really know what to say other than that he was a gamer, he works out with his brother and that he's secretly gay.

After another two exhausting hours, the group of boys from break time stood outside Gavin and Chen lession waiting for their class to depart for 40 minuets of freedom. Once Gavin and Chen walked out the classroom, they all walked downstairs to the cafeteria where they all grabbed hot food and sat down at a table and to Gavin's unfortunate surprise, Nines asked Gavin if he could talk a little bit about himself as there wasn't enough time for Gavin to do so at break.

Gavin's heart began racing quietly in his body as he became all sweaty but replied. "Oh, right... um yeah so I'm 11 years old" as they all were "and my birthday is the 7th of October." Gavin began talking about what he does in in spare time and what he likes, but he never once mentioned the word sexuality. Once he finished talking they continued to eat before they went off back outside and exchanged numbers before the bell demanded them to get to last lession.

Last lession began and everyone from the group had a different lession except for Nines and Gavin. They both had drama together in the same room and made there way to the room after departing from the group. They both began talking the whole way There, and once they reached the lession Nines asked in a reticent but fairly deep voice. "If you don't mind me asking, what's you're sexuality?" Gavin looked back at Nines and hid his fear of that word, especially asked by him, with a smile as he replied. "I uh... i don't really think about love, so unfortunately I can't answer that." His voice sounding almost muffled as his fear began crawling towards visability, Nines looked surprised and nodded silently.

After that long hour ended, Nines and Gavin were still talking to eachother, get to know one another better as they walked to registration together. Coincidently they had form together and they continued talking for those 20 minuets. Nines still had what Gavin said before the last lession in his mind, he could tell by the way Gavin sounded that he was lying but he didn't want to say anything just yet.

The 20 minuets went shockingly fast and the pair left the room and headed to eachothers lockers. Nines asked, "Y'know I asked you about you're sexuality? Did I make you feel uncomfortable?" Gavin didn't look at him untill they walked out the school doors. He sighed, stopped and looked directly into Nine's eyes and said. "The truth is, I don't know who I am yet."
