Chapter 13: Comfort comes before anything Ladies

          "I'm sorry, there has to be some sort of mistake. My mother is dead." I am so confused right now.

"Ma'am, were from the Little Rock Hospital, and your mother never died. She ran away from the hospital 8 years ago. We have reports of her being seen. We have her back in the hospital now."

"What!?" Is all I could say.

Everyone at the dining room table had wide eyes.

"My mother died from the crash though! She lost too much blood! You had her in life support because she couldn't breath on her own! So tell me sir, HOW IN THE NAME OF BABY JESUS DID SHE RUN AWAY FOR 8 YEARS AND BE FOUND ALIVE." I yelled.

"I-I am sorry ma'am, this is all quite confusing for us too. We are still trying to figure out what happened."

"First off, don't ma'am me. Secondly, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED YET!?" I tend to yell a lot when I'm worried.

"If you could please calm down miss, we would like you to get to the hospital as soon as possible." The mans voice was even more urgent than before, and he also sounded quite scared, probably from my outburst.

"Okay. But just have one more question, why did you tell everyone she died?" I tried to say as calmly as possible.

"W-we never said she died. We told your family that we lost her."

"And you didn't care to explain what you meant by 'lost her'!? I mean, it's kind of obvious we would think she died if you say 'We lost her.' She was at a hospital in critical condition for Pete's sake!"

"We are very sorry for the misunderstanding miss." I hung up after that, unable to continue the conversation.

What in the cheese balls just happened?

     "I guess I better start packing." I sigh, getting up from my seat.

     "You mean, we better start packing." Adam corrects, motioning his hands To the four of us.

     I sigh again and run my fingers through my hair, "I guess it would be nice to have some company." I say, and everyone cheers.

     I've been packing my clothes for around 30 minutes now and I'm almost finished. I finish putting the last of my clothes in one of Adams extra suitcases when I feel a presence behind me and I feel a wave of panic wash over me.

     "I'm going to give you 3 seconds to tell me who you are or your gonna be Six Feet Under when I'm through with you." I say in the most menacing tone I can muster.

      "Geez women, it's just me." Adam whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. He wraps his arms around my waist so that my back is pressed against his chest. He buries his face in the crook of my neck.

"Adam? What are you doing?" I chuckle nervously.

"I just want to check on my favorite girl." He murmurs, his hot breath tickling my skin, once again sending shivers down my spine.

"Ada-" my breath hitches when Adam starts peppering kissing down my collar bone, up my neck, and along my jaw. Before he could do anything else I slap his shoulder and push him off of me.

"Are you done packing?" I ask him firmly, my arms crossed.

"Yes sir!" Adam salutes earning a laugh from me.

"Have Sam and Iris finishes packing?"

"Yes sir!"

Grabbing my suitcase I haul it down the hall and lay it by the front door.

"We shall be on our way to the airport!" I yell through the house so everyone can hear me.

I hear footsteps padding against the spiral staircase and I soon see Iris quickly climbing down them, "Coming NY Bestie!" Iris yells as she makes her way to the bottom.

Over the last day me and Iris have grown extremely close to each other, so we now consider each other New York Besties, since Addy is my homie.

I have on sweatpants and a spaghetti strap tank top with a light sweater/cardigan over it. Comfort comes before anything ladies.
Iris, on the other hand, is wearing a floral top with high waisted skinny jeans. Jeans are so uncomfortable.
