When the light creeps in,
filling every facet of your being,
you wish and want for an infinite sun.
When the sun continues to shine,
you worry of it's authenticity,
paranoid that the sun is only an illusion
Doubt blocks out the rays,
acting like an umbrella,
disguising itself as helpful
But, the doubt turns to paranoia,
the sun begins to burn you,
and the light is snuffed out by
a shade trying to dim your glow
Leaving you wishing and wanting
for the sun to shine again
