The phone dropped, shattering on the floor as Steve fell to his knees, too heartbroken to cry. Bucky came up behind him, pulling the smaller boy into his lap.
"It's alright Steve." He soothed as tears of his own fell down his cheeks. Sarah Rogers had taken him in at the age of 10, when his parents had died, she had loved him like a son. Now Steve was going through the exact same thing he had gone through.

Steve had been his best friend, they were the same age but Steve was much smaller and suffered from many diseases. Sarah knew this day was coming and had made Bucky promise he would take care of Steve.

Sobs wrecked Steve's small frame and Bucky held him tighter, whispering that it would be okay. Steve felt that nothing could be okay again. His mother had been in hospital and they had told him she might not have much longer to live.

At these news he had run home and cried, after awhile it had been okay. His mother had told him 'The weak know what strength is, those in power do not. When you become strong you will know power.' She had wiped his tears away and then the nurse had come to say visiting hours were over.

Steve knew the day was coming but he didn't know the reality of it would hurt so bad.

If had been a month since they left military school with Sam. The three of them had been inseparable ever since.

Bucky and Sam were lying on the couch they had just carried in together, both had shoes on the fabric he was texting Sam who was sitting on the other side of the couch.

Steve laid the box down, arms crossed he walked towards the couple, they looked up nervously and slowly moved their legs off the couch. To his relief no stain were there and to their confusion Steve flopped down next to the two. Making Bucky move to the side.

"I thought you were going to kill me because I had my feet up." Bucky laughed, and Sam nodded in agreement. Steve just pulled a pad and pencil out of a nearby box, resting his feet on the two. He began to draw a story.
