Rosco: American pit bull terrier, raised in dog fights. He has light brown fur with a small white patch on his chest, all four of his paws are white. He also has cropped his ears.

Rosco woke up around 6 AM to the usual sound of the other dogs barking. He basically lived in a puppy mill full of dobermans and mostly pit bulls. There are few smaller dogs that are put in a ring with a much larger dog. You guess it, it's a sick show for inhumane people who enjoy the gruesome show. There is no hope for the little dogs, that's what the show is about. It's disgusting but there are sick people who find entertainment from it. Rosco always starts to shake and starts to feel nauseated by the yelps and cries of the small innocent dogs being torn apart by the other monstrous dogs.

Rosco couldn't be mad at the bigger dogs because they were raised to kill, that's what they were raised to do. Rosco was NOT first born to be a killer, he actually had a loving mother and owner. But one night there was a rock that went through their window. Rosco's mom started to bark to alert their owner. Rosco always wanted to prove to his mom that he was very brave and protective so, Rosco started to bark and got into a protective stance.

When the robbers came through the window, Rosco immediately regretted his decision. He wasn't ready for defending off intruders, perhaps it was because he was 2 in a half months old at  the time. Rosco looked back to run to his mother and owner, but she was no where in sight. His owner took his mother and his siblings into their basement, forgetting Rosco in the living room. He was certain he was about to die but he was picked up from his hind leg and thrown into the back of the robbers' van.

As Rosco looked out of the back window, the cops had shown up. They got there a little too late.

Rosco started to yelp and bark, calling his mother's name, hoping that somehow his mother would be able to hear him. Unfortunately his mother did not hear, no one heard his heart felt cries for help. He decided to lay down in the corner of the van.

It was not a comfy ride, the robbers' were speeding, barely making the curves. They almost hit someone head on. Rosco thought he was going to be killed before he even got to the destination he was suppose to be.

Rosco felt the van jerk to a halt, making him fly backwards in the back. He stayed crouched down and looked around nervously, he was unsure if it were safe to get up, until he felt something grab his snout shut. He was raised into the air by his snout by one robber, then another grabbed his front paws and then the third robber grabbed his hind paws.

Rosco struggled and twisted around ferociously, desperately trying to break free. When he got a small whiff of other dogs, he started to panic. He started to whine loudly and struggling even harder.

Rosco's twisting and struggling seemed to make the robbers' grips tighten around his snout and paws to where he was in pain.

They tackled Rosco to the ground and forced a rope around his neck. The other dogs started to bark and few started to snarl at the sight of Rosco. He was tied to a tree near the run-down house.

Rosco will never forget that terror filled day, as he got up to look around he had to shake that nightmare out of his head. As he looked around he saw some dogs getting their ears cropped, he remembered the day he got his ears cropped. Of course it wasn't done professionally. One of the men that helped steal him from his family pinned Rosco down when he was about  five months old and used kitchen shears (scissors but they cut better through thick substances). The other man held Rosco's ear up as the last man used the kitchen shears and cut Rosco's ear in a diagonal line. Rosco could barely remember what happened that day, he passed out from the pain.

Now Rosco is about 2 years old, making him 24 years old in human years. He's gotten smarter, when they pick him for  a fight and let the rope off around the neck he runs off before they can force him into a ring.

This is how he met his best friend, Jude.
