panacea ii.
Alice Vex died that day.
I didn’t really mean for it to happen,
but it was 6 AM
and I was trying to ignore the sunrise again
and she strolled up to me
with that look in her eyes.
“Beautiful morning.”
She said.
I ignored her,
stared at the wand
like it really was magic.
“Don’t ignore me.”
I looked up.
She smirked.
“Good.”
And then she was touching
my hair,
fingers lingering
dangerously close
to the petals.
I tensed up;
I didn’t notice it,
but the wand began to glow
in my hand.
“Tulips.”
She muttered it under her breath,
like it was a cuss word.
Alice sighed.
“It’s a shame they aren’t red.”
She said.
“Red’s my favorite color.”
One second later
Alice Vex
was twitching
on the concrete,
the blood from her mouth
spreading over it
like a canvas.
