Shane's POV

I knew Ryland wouldn't ditch his friends because he wasn't that type of person. You could definitely feel something holding him back and I don't think it was his friends. Brother? Sister? Parents? Himself? Maybe an ex? There are so many possibilities. His friends seem nice, they don't look mean. But looks don't define how the person acts.
Ryland looked generally happy with them, he doesn't look like he's putting up an act.
I then saw Joey and Daniel walk in Starbucks, hand in hand. They saw me and walked over.
"Hey" Daniel said
"Hey" I spoke back
"Are you okay?" Joey asked
"Yeah I'm fine I'm just tired" I responded
"Well get some sleep, what time did you go to bed?" Joey asked
"7 this morning" I replied
"Shane are you crazy, you know you shouldn't stay up that early" Joey whispered so no one would really hear us
"Yeah I'm fully aware"
"You better have a good reason for stay up that late" Daniel said
"Yeah I actually do dad" I rolled my eyes, I knew staying up late wasn't the best idea now that I'm on a good sleep schedule but I wanted to talk to Ryland.
"Then what is it?" They asked
"Someone" I whispered
"Omg your seeing someone" Joey was shocked
"No no I was talking to someone" I said
"This someone is pretty important to you if you are talking to them for a long time" Joey chuckled
"Yeah he is" I whispered
"Oh it's a he" Daniel was shocked
"Don't do this" I shook my head
"We aren't doing anything" Daniel lied
"Yeah you are your doing that thing we're you get excited because I'm talking to someone" I ratted them out
"Well you haven't really talked to anyone like that since Lisa" Joey said
"Well I haven't found someone I like or love, maybe there's no one for me" I whispered
"Don't say that there is someone for you, you just haven't found them yet" Joey tried to cheer me up but what if I was right? What if I didn't have anyone.
" I think I'm gonna go home and get some sleep" I yawned
"Yeah you go do that" Daniel said
I got up from my table and left. I walked in the sunny weather, the sun beamed on my skin. I felt the warmth of the sun as I walked back to my house. When I got home I knew I couldn't go to bed until 11 pm. If I didn't it would ruin my sleep schedule even more. So I decided to just watch tv for a couple of hours.
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
So my plan failed, I guess I fell asleep while watching friends.
My phone was still going off, I thought it was an alarm but when I looked at my phone it was someone calling
The name read
Ryland Adams
I don't know if I should answer it or not.

"Ryland?..."

"Hi..."

"What's up?"

"Nothing much"

"Ok, why are you calling me?"

"I don't know I was bored, why did you hesitate to answer?"

"I didn't, I was asleep. Then you woke me up"

"Oh sorry"

"It's fine,"

"Why were you asleep?"

"Because I stayed up until 7 talking to you"

"Oh right"

"When did you wake up?"

"At 12"

"Wow so you only got 5 hours of sleep"

"Yeah pretty much"

"Cool, I have to go "

"What are you doing?"

"Babysitting"

"Oh have fun with that"
"Oh where is it at? I'm just wondering because my parents are going out tonight"

"Damn I wanted to surprise you, it's at your house"
"Do your parents usually go out like this often?"

"Yeah usually"

"Wow"

"Anyways I have to go"

"Wait before I go, why can't you just watch Morgan?"

"Have you meet me? My parents don't trust me"

"Why?"

"Reasons, now bye"

Then he hung up. I wonder what he did or what if parents think. Anyways I have to prepare to babysit again.
