She expected to break down. She expected to cry out at she watched Pietro die. But instead, she remained collected. She threw his arm over her shoulder to help him walk, and applied pressure to his wound. She had to find the others before it was too late.

If only their comms were working, this would be a whole lot easier.

She searched the hallways as quick as she could, looking desperately for her friends. If only Pietro had been shot somewhere else, like his arm or leg. A wound like that could be walked off, but a bullet to the back is potentially fatal. She had no clue if it penetrated an organ.

"Eliza, please. Just go," he took in a sharp breath. "Ironically, I am slowing you down."

"Now's not the time for joking," she held back tears. "And I'm not leaving you behind."

Elizabeth was helping Pietro walk through the hallways, when Wanda unexpectedly peeked her head around a corner. Elizabeth jumped slightly, but was relieved when she realized it was her close friend.

"We heard your voices, you two are pretty loud." Wanda stated as she and Bucky turned the corner. However, her joking stopped as soon as she realized her brother had been shot. "Pietro! Are you okay?"

"Sort of," he was struggling to speak, it looked like he was about to pass out at any second.

"We need to get him out of here, now," Eliza ripped off the long sleeves of her suit, and tied them tightly around Pietro's wound. "Bucky, you told me a while ago that you know how to fly helicopters. Can you fly Pietro to Dr. Cho while Wanda and I distract the guards? I've flown these helicopters before, they have a navigation system to direct you home."

"We cannot leave you two behind," Pietro countered.

"We aren't the ones dying as we speak. You need a doctor right now, and we need a distraction so you can escape. We'll be fine," Bucky was holding Pietro up, so Elizabeth only managed to give him a side hug, and kissed his cheek. "Get going, now," despite Pietro's protests, Bucky carried him away, trying to find the helicopters.

To draw attention away from their friends, Wanda laced her scarlet magic around a large steel object, and threw it through a row walls. The walls were much thinner on the inside than the outside, so there was a significant amount of damage. A large steel rod fell from the ceiling, along with a row of lights. The impact created a loud sound, definitely catching some guards' attention. Elizabeth felt footsteps approaching them, and warned Wanda. Just before taking fire, Wanda created a red shield around the two. Once the soldiers were forced to reload, Wanda used the steel rod that fell earlier to knock out the row of guards. Elizabeth admired Wanda as she effortlessly used her powers, she was definitely the strongest person Elizabeth had ever met. Without fear of the serum, or being locked up in vibranium, Wanda was unstoppable. There was no doubt in Eliza's mind that she could take down a HYDRA base entirely on her own.

The two ran through the building, taking on any guards they came in contact with. Eliza had stolen a gun off of one of the guards, and was helping Wanda take down swarms of soldiers. Elizabeth looked out a window, and found that Bucky and Pietro were taking off in a helicopter. She wanted to ensure that HYDRA would focus more on the ground than the air, she couldn't risk slowing Pietro down with obstacles.

"Hey Wanda, you know how the interior is much weaker than the outside of the building?"

     "Yes?"

"What if we take down every pillar we find? With the sucky structuring, I'm sure the ceiling will collapse in on itself. That'll distract them."

     "Won't we be stuck under?"

"Not if we destroy this section last. This window is kind of small, but we can help each other through it. I'll memorize where it is."

"Okay, let's take this place down."

Wanda and Elizabeth ran throughout the building, destroying any pillar in sight. HYDRA obviously caught onto what they were doing, because guards kept filing in to attack them. The soldiers however, were easy to take down. Because their leader was dead, they had no strategy.

"Jeeze, how can they fit so many guards in one building," Eliza remarked as she kicked a guard in the jaw, while shooting another.

"I have no clue," Wanda grinned at their conversation as she swept a wave of soldiers away, using a ball of power.

The two continued knocking down pillars, and noticed that the floor above them was beginning to lean.

"It's working! We should get near the window now, follow me," Elizabeth said as the two began running. Luckily, Eliza specialized in mapping out the area around her. When she worked for HYDRA, she had been on countless assassination missions where her life depended on it.

This skill in mapping out the area would have really come in handy if they happened to come across an exit, but a window will do.

Taking out some guards along the way, the two made their way to the window. Without hesitation, Elizabeth punched it into shards of glass. Wanda focused, building up her power, and sent a wave throughout the building. Elizabeth watched as rows of pillars and walls collapsed, the floor above them beginning to fall with it. Without warning, Eliza picked Wanda up, and pushed her through the window. Though she was quick, she was also gentle enough to avoid scratching her up too bad with any glass. Unfortunately, the window was pretty high up. Elizabeth jumped to reach it, beginning to pull herself through.

"I am taller, I probably should have pushed you up-"

"Shut up," Eliza muttered as pushed herself through the window. She felt a sharp pain stab into her torso, but she ignored it. Wanda grabbed onto her arm and helped pull, successfully getting her through the window. Elizabeth checked her stomach and found a gash from the glass, but she pushed it aside as they ran around the perimeter of the building.

Elizabeth and Wanda looked to the left, and found that the base's roof was caving in. They heard the floors of the base falling, crashing down as the ceiling fell closer to the ground. A cloud of dust escaped the building, choking the girls as they sprinted towards the jets and helicopters.

The two were approaching the vehicles when Wanda began to slow down. She looked extremely dizzy, which was clearly from the excessive use of power mixed with inhaling dust. Though Eliza was smaller, she used her strength to easily throw Wanda over her shoulder, and ran to the nearest jet. Elizabeth placed her in the passenger seat, pushing some hair out of Wanda's eyes in a comforting way.

Elizabeth sat in the pilot seat, and typed in the location of the Avengers tower on the GPS.

"Time to go home" she whispered as she kicked up the engine.
