Avalon's P.O.V

"You just snapped at him like that?"Iffah asked,eyes as wide as saucers.

"Yeah,he was being annoying,"I took a sip of my punch,I had just told Iffah about the incident I had with Jake a few minutes.

"BUT JAVA IS REAL!"She yelled,

"wow,how about you say that louder,I think God can't hear you well enough."I hissed,she shrugged and smiled.

We soon changed the topic to something I can't quite recall,probably about Iffah's millions upon millions of celebrity crushes.

"Hey,have you two seen Jake?"Micheal came up to us as Iffah was rambling on about the Harries twins,

"No,"Iffah replied,"why do you need to know anyway,it's like he's your son or something."

Micheal shrugged,"hero instincts I guess."

"How about we help you look?"Iffah asked,I gave her the 'you know how much I hate the guy' look before she shrugged and motioned me to follow her.I sighed,what kind of hero would I be if I didn't help?

"We should get going before he gets hurt or something,"Micheal said,concern very evident in his voice.

Why was he so panicky? Jake was allowed to do what he wants,he's 14 years old for gods sake!

"let's check the rooftop first,Jake always likes looking at the stars.."I mumbled before his eyes widened.

Was he telling the the future or something?

Wait,he said that all he had super strength.

Is he hiding something?

Before I knew it,we were all sprinting up the staircase to the rooftop.

"Jake?"I called out,checking my section of the rooftop.

Micheal had gave Iffah,himself and I our sections to check since the rooftop was so huge.

"Ja-OH MY GOD."I screamed as soon as I saw Jake.

He was lying down on the floor unconscious,he looked like he was barely breathing.

"Holy-"I didn't realize Micheal and Iffah were by my side.

Iffah knelt down to check Jake's pulse,Micheal and I watched her extremely quietly,the suspence slowly killing us.

"He's alive,"She breathed,

I released a breath I didn't even know i was holding.

"But his pulse is very faint."our mini celebration came to a halt.

"Avalon,stop the party and get your dad.This could lead to something serious."I had never seen this side of Iffah before,the side with so much seriousness and concern,it was like as if Jake was dying.

Hold on,what if Jake WAS dying?
