Y/n's POV
I sat on the bed, smiling as I looked at the pictures of Noah and I. I sighed, walking over to one in particular. It was a picture of me, covering my face. I remember that day like it was yesterday.

I was glancing at the boy next to my locker. He was shuffling through his locker, looking for something.

"Aha, found it!" he said to no one in particular, grabbing a digital camera.

"What's that for?" I asked, pointing at the camera.

"It's for my Digital Imaging class."

"Oh that's cool, I guess," I said, shutting my locker door.

I started heading toward my class but the boy stopped me, grabbing my arm.

"Wait, um, this may be a weird question, but can I take your picture?" he asked, blushing slightly.

"Take my picture? I'm not a model," I laughed.

"I bet you could be," he mumbled. "Please, just one picture?"

"Fine, but I'm warning you. My ugliness might break your camera and I can't afford to buy you a new one," I joked.

"You're not ugly, don't say that about yourself!" he defended, facing the camera in my direction.

I covered my face right before he took the picture.

"Hey! Why'd you cover your face?"

"I didn't wanna break your camera."

"Haha very funny. Oh well," he exclaimed before heading toward his class.

"Wait," I called, turning to the boy. "I never got your name."

"Noah. Noah Schnapp. And you?"

"I'm y/n l/n," I smiled.

"Y/n...what a beautiful name."

My fingers grazed over the picture frame. I looked over at the other pictures. I began to hum A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

The day we met

Frozen I held my breath

Right from the start

I knew that I'd found a home for my

Heart beats fast

Colors and promises

I continued singing softly as I looked at the pictures.

Noah's POV
I had just gotten home from the store. I put the groceries on the counter and headed upstairs, looking for y/n. I smiled, hearing her sing. I grabbed my digital camera, the same one from all those years ago and started recording.

I stood outside the door, letting her get to the part where the guy sang.

I'll love you for a thousand more

I opened the door, slightly smiling.

Time stands still

Beauty and all she is

Y/n smiled, sitting at the edge of the bed. She laughed a bit, bringing her knees up to her chest. It's something she does when she's nervous. I faced the camera at her as I continued to sing.

It was now her turn to sing, but she had stopped. I groaned, leaning back onto the bed.

"Why'd you stop? I want to hear your beautiful voice," I whined.

"Oh shush. It's not that beautiful," she argued.

"Of course it is," I countered.

"Whatever you say, Noah," she said, laying next to me.

Her eyes shifted to the camera I was holding.

"Were you recording the whole time?" she asked, grabbing the camera.

"Um, no..." I lied.

"Noah!" I exclaimed, shutting off the camera and smacking his arm playfully.

"Ouch, bully!"

"Why do you record this stuff anyways?" she questioned.

"I like capturing the memories."
