We walked into Starbucks, delicious smells flooding my senses.

"What do you wanna get?" Noah asked me as we waited in line.

"Mmm, I'll just get a y/f/d."

"As per usual," Noah groaned.

"Hey!" I said, smacking him on the arm playfully.

He gasped, holdibg his hand to his heart. "I am hurt!"

"Oh shush, you!" I exclaimed as we walked up to the counter.

"Hi, what can I get for you two today?" a brown-haired woman asked.

"Um, I'll have y/f/d."

"I'll have that too," Noah added, smiling at me.

I just rolled my eyes.

"Copycat," I muttered.

Noah just elbowed me.

I glared at him as I pulled out the money to pay for our drinks.

"Nope," he said, pushing my money away and giving the employee his money.

I grabbed his money right before she took it and gave them my money.

"Aha!" I exclaimed as she took it.

She chuckled as she put the money in the register. "You guys are so cute. Are you dating?"

Noah and I looked at each other, trying not to laugh. We looked back at the lady.

"Yes, yes we are," I replied, grabbing Noah's hand playfully.

We grabbed our drinks and exited the shop, bursting out in fits of laughter.

"Oh my gosh, can you believe she thought we were dating?!" I yelled, trying not to spill my drink as I laughed.

"I know right! How could she even think that? We act nothing like a couple!" Noah added.

"Yeah..." I mumbled as I took a sip of my drink.

To be honest, I always wondered if Noah and I would be a good couple. If we would ever end up dating. Ha, who am I kidding? That would never happen. We are just best friends.

Even though I maybe, sorta, want more than that, it would never happen. I think it'd be better to just be friends so we can goof off and stuff like we normally do.

If we ever dated, I feel like it would be too awkward.

Plus, I don't wanna break what we have.

This friendship.

Little did I know, Noah felt the exact same way.
