You follow slightly behind Asgore, having to step quickly to keep up with his long stride. As the two of you walk through the quiet and early town, you start to notice more about the big goat man. His large muscular shoulders, his bare soft-pawed feet, his thick biceps, and his strong hands. That coupled with his character and personality, he's just so...perfect. everything about him. Everything he does, everything he says, everything he is. You may have seen some attractive looking men in this town, but Asgore is so much more than another sexy guy.
You snap out of your thoughts as the two of you stop in front of the flower shop. "Hang on," says Asgore, reaching into his pocket, "I've got to get my keys."
You wait patiently until he fishes a chain with two keys on it out of his pants pocket. Taking the shorter one, he puts it to the lock and the glass door opens. The aroma of fresh flowers wafts towards you as you enter. Asgore flips a switch on the wall and the lights come on. Looking around the room at the different shelves of plants and seed packets, you notice the stock is much thinner than last you saw. Must be Asgore really is busy all the time. "How many people would you say come into your shop a day?" You ask.
Asgore scratches the back of his head, thinking. "Maybe twenty to thirty?"
You raise your eyebrows in amazment.
"That many?" You exclaim, "How do you do it alone?"
"Like I said, it's a bit of a hassel. It's rewarding work for sure, and I'll be glad to have you work here."
Asgore leads you behind the counter to an open room covered by a thin red curtain. The room is filled with many tables with many different kinds of plants, but mostly flowers. There are even some plants in baskets hanging from the ceiling. Asgore runs you through the watering schedule and when to restock the shelves.
"Normally," he explains, "I let the plants grow by themselves since they do so relatively quick in surface oxygen and sunlight from the roof window. But every now and again, I run out of stock too fast and need more plants. So, a little magic is required, but I'll take care of that when necessary."
"Okay, got it," you say. Asgore walks you through the rest of the necessities and you confirm that you understand. After everything has been ruled out, you say to Asgore, "Right, so when do I start working?"
"You can schedule when ever it's convenient for you," he replies, "Just let me know later."
"Got it. Thanks so much for this, Asgore. You have no idea how this means to me."
"Don't mention it."
You pull your phone out of your pocket and check the time. 7:09 A.M.
"Alright, I've gotta get going. My mom's probably awake by now. I'll get back to you about the schedule. Oh, uh, do you have, like a phone number?"
"Ah, of course," says Asgore as he walks to the cashier counter to write it down on the notepad there. After a bit, Asgore hands you the paper with the number on it. You take it and read it over quickly before pocketing it.
"Thanks. So, yeah. Schedule. I'll get that figured out. Take care."
You exit the shop as Asgore waves. You are breathing heavily and feel your face getting hot. 'I legit just got his phone number! Holy crap!' you think to yourself. You try to take a deep breath and focus on the sidewalk. You're excited to start your new job. Working with a monster? It's kinda crazy.
