Chapter Eleven - The Storm is Here

Hey guys. Sorry for not updating last week. If you are reading my other book, Yes Sir!!!, then you will know that I had a bit of a bad week last week and got some bad news. But I'm feeling a bit better now, so I can finally focus. Hope you enjoy the next chapter. 

The morning after Peyton's little experiment with his Mate, the poor boy couldn't stop his blushing. They went down to the main dining room for breakfast, and at first Peyton didn't notice the many smirks or snickers from the other Pack members. Marcus didn't know what would be so amusing, though.  As far as he was concerned, what they had done was normal and natural. He didn't see why everyone had to try to embarrass his Mate like this. 

He let out a soft growl, that almost immediately shut everyone up, but it also alerted his Mate to a problem. Peyton looked around at everyone and saw that they had their heads down and were trying their best to look everywhere but at them, some still snickering. That's when he realised that everyone must have heard them last night and within seconds, his face was a brilliant red. 

He didn't even bother taking his food with him, he just jumped up and ran out of there, like his tail was on fire. Lilah and Lily were just coming down the stairs with Phoenix and Paxton, but Peyton didn't even acknowledge them. He just ran past as fast as his legs could carry him and locked himself in his room.

The girls each raised a brow, while looking at each other, when they heard a loud growl reverberate through the house. They all went running into the dining room to see Marcus standing at the end of the table, his face dark with anger. "I will not have my Mate humiliated by you, for your amusement. The days of you laughing at him and mocking him are OVER! Do you understand?" He shouted, causing the Pack members to tremble in fear at the power behind Marcus' voice. One guy decided to be brave and stood up, facing the very angry Alpha.

"You have no right to try controlling us. You are not our Alpha. Why don't you go back home, and take your little Mate with you." he spat at Marcus, not realising that his very own Alphas and Lunas were standing in the doorway, listening to the way he spoke to their future brother in-law and about their precious little brother. 

Phoenix could feel his anger rising at the insolence of one of his own Pack members and was about to step forward and let his presence be known, when Lily put her hand on his arm to stop him. He turned to face her, angry at being stopped, when he saw his petite little Mate's face. Lily was beyond angry. This little shit dared to speak to another Alpha like that and it would seem like everyone had been laughing at Peyton for what happened last night. No one was going to get away with such behaviour. She refused to tolerate disrespect and the humiliation of fellow Pack members. Yes, Peyton and Marcus' wolves got a bit loud last night, but everyone knew how painfully shy Peyton was and knew that teasing or snickering about it, would cause the poor boy absolute humiliation. So now, they will find out what happens when you cross the Luna.

"What is going on here?" Lily asked, keeping her voice even, masking her anger. The guy quickly turned around and she saw that it was Dorian, a boy, barely out of his teens, but with an ego the size of Texas. She has noticed over the past few months that he has a tendency to put others down and treat them badly and she wasn't going to tolerate it any longer. The pup was about to learn a very valuable lesson.

"Luna Lily, I'm really sorry for the commotion, but can you please explain to Marcus here that he has absolutely no say within our pack. Peyton also has none as he is already Mated to Marcus, which makes him a part of the Dawn Tail Pack. I don't see..." He got cut off before he could finish, by Lily raising her hand, indicating he should stop talking. 

She started stalking closer to him, letting her anger seep through the room, her face perfectly blank, till she stopped in front of him. Next minute, a ringing slap echoes through the room and Phoenix looks at his tiny Mate in shock. She had just slapped Dorian so hard, that he fell to the floor, holding his cheek and staring up at the Luna in complete shock.
