Hey guys, SURPRISE!!!! I decided to finish the book earlier, then take a small break while I concentrate on writing Yes Sir!!! This book had me worried for a while, because it really wasn't doing very well, but it's been really picking up lately and that makes me so happy. After I post this, I will also post the cover for Kiron and Kira's story, but I will only start it up when I finish Yes Sir!!! Hope you guys enjoy this chapter.

Seventeen years later

Kiron was sitting on his bed, feeling very low and depressed. He missed Laken so damn much, but he also understood why they had to be seperated. Mates are only supposed to meet after they turn eighteen, the main reason being so that they don't end up mating while they are still under age. But he has known Laken was his Mate since he was very little, same for his sister Kira and her Mate, Raven.

At first he didn't know why he felt so bonded to Laken and always wanting to be around him, but then his dad, Peyton, had explained to him that both himself and Kira were blessed by the Moon Goddess to have their Mates with them much earlier than usual. But that of course came with it's own set of complications.

They were teens , and as with any teen, they had hormonal issues to deal with and it was becoming harder and harder to stay away from each other. So his parents came up with a solution. Laken and Raven would leave the Pack till the twins' eighteenth birthdays and return that day. They were at the Silver Shadows pack with the twin's uncles till then.

He wondered how his Mate was really doing, working with uncle Phoenix and uncle Paxton. Even though Laken assured him he was fine every day, he still worried for him, because he knew what those two could be like. They were great and he loved them dearly, but he also knew how strict and ruthless they could be as well.

Kira was in her room, thinking about her Mate as well, wondering the same things as her twin. She missed Raven so much that it actually physically hurt sometimes, but just like her twin, she also knew it was the right choice at the time.

Suddenly the twins got linked by their Papa Marcus to come to his office. It sounded very urgent and they wasted no time, running out their house together, towards the Pack house. Once there, they made their way up to the third floor where the Alpha's office was and Kiron knocked on the door, waiting for Papa to allow them inside.

They had walked in one time, unannounced and swore never, ever to do so again. That is not a sight any child wants to see of their parents and it still caused them to shudder in horror at the memory of that day.

"Come in." Papa called from the other side of the door and Kira opened the door and they both entered, holding hands for support. Their dad was sitting in the chair behind the desk and Papa was standing behind him, his hands resting on his Mate's shoulders, like he was trying to comfort him, as Peyton looked devastated.

"What's wrong daddy?" Kira asked as she let go of Kiron's hand and went to her daddy, kneeling in front of him. She has always been very close to their dad, while Kiron was closer to their papa.

Peyton looked at his daughter with pained eyes and the tears started rolling down his face. "Two of the Council members were killed last night. It looks like they were tortured before they dies." Peyton sobbed out, turning towards his Mate, where Marcus picked him up and cradled his Mate close to his body like a precious gem.

The twins stood there shocked and filled with dread, their Grandfathers, Evan and Jaxon were on the Council, in fact, they were the Heads of the Council. Could it be.....

"Daddy, who was it that got killed?" Kira asked with trepidation clear in her voice. Peyton was far too distraught to answer them, so Marcus turned to face his children. "It was Cassandra and Max., but we think they tried going after Nolan and Alex as well. Luckily Alex is a paranoid son of a bitch, and has alarms and traps all over their house and they caught the guys, before they could cause any harm to those two. But now the fuckers refuse to talk." Marcus growled out, then gave a small yelp as Peyton smacked the back of his head. "Language Mister!" Peyton exclaimed, before burying his head back in his Mate's neck.

Kiron sat down in the nearest chair, the shock making his legs weak. His mind was swirling with questions and he felt dazed. Who the hell would be insane enough to attack a Council member, and why would they do so in the first place? The Council was there to keep the peace and keep the Packs safe!

"Who would do such a horrible thing and why would they even want to?" Kira voiced the two main questions in Kiron's mind.

Peyton looked up at Marcus and they must have been using their mind-link to have a silent conversation, because suddenly Peyton's shoulders drooped and he nodded in agreement with whatever Marcus had told him. Marcus placed Peyton gently back on the chair, and they both turned to face their children.

"What we are about to tell you, you can not repeat to anyone just yet. We have a strong suspicion about the reason behind the attacks on the Council and why Cassandra and Max were tortured. The only thing we can't figure out, is how it would have come to anyone's attention yet, because only a very select few knows about it." Marcus started, the stress of the situation clear on his face.

Kiron looked over his fathers and he suddenly had a strong feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice hoarse with dread.

Marcus and Peyton looked at each other again, before turning back to their children. "Do you remember what we told you about the war with Belladonna?" Peyton asked and the twins just nodded. That story has been told to them since they were little and was firmly ingrained into their memories. They also knew that somehow, even though they were just babies at the time, they had somehow helped their dad and uncles to defeat the evil witch.

"Well, what we didn't tell you, was that the Council requested an urgent meeting with us, just days after we defeated her. They said they had news and it was of the utmost importance, so we agreed to the meeting and they were there about a week later. What they told us, was so terrifying, but amazing at the same time. It was another prophecy, but this one wasn't about us, like the one with Belladonna. It involved someone else and we had kept it quiet all these years to protect the ones involved with it." Peyton said, now looking down at his hands, fiddling with his fingers.

Kiron could see his dad was nervous and the feeling of dread grew stronger. "Who was the new prophecy about dad?" He asked Peyton, looking at his dad, trying to will him to look up at him.

Peyton looked back at Marcus, barely holding back his tears, and Marcus smiled down at his Mate gently, before looking up at his children. "The prophecy was about the two of you." He stated in his usual blunt manner, but they could see the worry his eyes held, worry for his children.

Kiron was shocked to his core and he looked at his sister, only to see the same look of shock on her face. In unison, they both turned to their parents, "WHAT!!!" they shouted at the same time.

"The prophecy was about the two of you and what your future will hold. We were going to tell you, but this has sped things up a bit. I will tell you all the details of it, but right now, we need a plan of action. Kira, you need to increase your training. You are going to have to work a lot harder than you are now. And Kiron, you need to brush up on your history of all the different Packs, and most especially, you need to look into the history of the Royal Wolves. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything kids, because things are about to get intense. The good news though, is that your Mates will be coming back home, immediately. You need each other now more than ever before." He said, his voice firm and his eyes showing his determination to help his children in the difficult time ahead.

As he said, shit's about to go down.
