Together while watching the summer sun. I felt cosy and more close to Emma than I have in a long time.
Strange how so many things can happen to you - but the smallest things bring you closer together.
It was only six o'clock and Emma was yawning and her eyes were clouding over with fatigue. Her satin collared top and matron shorts were covered by the baby blue blanket wrapped around her shoulders and foulded around her ankles, with her feet poking out.
I waited for her to tell me she was going to bed but the time never came. Instead she fell asleep on my shoulder, her hair brushing my cheek when she moves her head.
Picking her up I walked across the garden and through the hallway and took her to bed. Where I laid her head against the pillow and pulled her blanket over her legs.
I climbed in next to her and wrapped my hands around her waist, breathing in her scent. She snuggled in with me her hot breath tickling my neck. I realised the makeup she had spent doing this morning was still on her face.
She looked beautiful without makeup, but she liked to do it, I assume it makes her feel more confident. And I feel proud to know that she doesn't wear it around me. Only if we are going out.
Her eyeliner had taken her so long to do. And looking at it now it was perfect. It shaped her eyes. She has very steady hands. Perfect and dainty hands, that were currently placed upon my chest. Pulling herself closer.

I know they are still short.
But it's character and relationship building, I really enjoy doing these.
