Chapter #1: Can I be Alone?

Day: Tuesday, September 4

It was the first day of University. David had a rough, terrible time at High School. He needed to forget about what happened. It was all a blur to him. He felt like he was going to faint. He didn't anyone to know his High School problems. It was that serious? He was being a target from High School kids for the time being. Now that a few of those kids would be coming to his University to study there? David was not comfortable.

David arrived on campus and looked around. No kids from his High School was there. He smiled lightly and looked around the campus. He had to go to Calculus for his first class. He arrived to Calculus and looked around. He was sitting at the bad of the class. While that was happening. He felt someone was smacking him on the back of the hair. David turned to see a kid from High School, Nick. Nick was his first bully from school. He glared at Nick.

Nick: "Ohh I'm so sorry, did I hurt you? Are you going to cry?"

Nick laughed at him. David was glaring at him as he wanted to punch him in the face. He felt Nick was taking this too far. Nick laughed some more as he left to take his seat in class. A girl came into class, noticing that David was frowning and sighing. She approached to him and sat beside him. David looked at the girl.

Girl: "Are you ok?"

David: "I guess."

Girl: "Well your expression tells me that you're not doing good. What's that about?"

David: "Just some kid from High School,  keeps making me feel bad for myself."

Girl: "I'm sure you can just ignore him. I'm Amy. What's your name?"

David: "David"

Amy: "Nice to meet you David, I'm sure that you need better friends than that kid."

David: "Nice to meet you too Amy. Nick's never my friend. He just uses me to make himself before."

Amy: "Popularity, that's not good. No one can't be popular over the other. We're all equal here. If you want, we can hang out if you have some time. I have 2 more classes after thing then I'm free at 3pm today."

David: "Alright, I'm free till 4pm."

Amy: "Ohh, so I can walk you to class."

David: "Alright, I would like the company."

They continued to talk to each other before the professor arrived to the front of the class. The class started. David was in for a rough one. He finished class for the morning and headed out for his long break until 4pm. He was going to hang out on his own for the time being. He had nothing to do at this point. He headed back to the community centre and hang out with his sophomores.
