"So if you guys get out your textbooks and turn to chapter four on page 345..." Professor Stoke murmured as he taught my biology class of the spring semester.
Monday is everyone's favorite day of the week. I did my absolute best to pay attention to one of my least favorite subjects. If only science wasn't a general education requirement, but then again, what else is there for me to do at 5:30 PM? Not like I have to do a ton of homework assignments that's due in the middle of the week. On the outside, it doesn't seem like there's a lot to do, but any college student knows that even two homework assignments are a lot.
I tapped my pen furiously against my notebook which made my neighboring classmate glare at me in annoyance. My cheek grew crimson as her piercing blue eyes burned through my skin when my pen slowed down into a stop. I flashed her a grin in compensation, but she gazed elsewhere. Even the tiniest bit of attention made me crawl under a cover. I've breathed a lot to be able to function at work throughout the day, but even then it can be unbearable.
My head tilted a bit at the sound of whispers behind me. Minding my own business is not a habit of mine.
"Hahaha," A girl laughed behind me, "David, I can't even!"
"You know I can, baby." He said, before being muffled by something.
Peeking through my blind side only to find them making out. My gaze shifted real quick as I felt like I invaded their privacy. It's amazing to see how some couples tackle the issue of PDA.
"Honey bunchkins, I love you!" She said.
The dude growled in response and she laughed along. My shoulders shook at the thought of their business behind me. He's probably touching her thigh to get her in the mood.
Even through the one-year relationship, Justin and I were never over the top. Whenever we're in the mood we would do it in the comfort of our dorm rooms, when no one was around. People shouldn't have to hide affection, here's also a time and a place for everything.
Professor Dawson cleared his throat in an attempt to gain attention from the lovebirds behind me.
"Excuse me, Mr. Burke. Can you please recite to me what I just talked about?" He asked.
The class was dead silent as we anticipated David's response.
"Um, uh.." He stuttered.
Professor Stark cut him off by stating, "Maybe if you paid attention in class instead of Ms. Tiffany's tonsils, you'd learn something. You too, Ms. Tiffany."
I glanced behind me to see a mutual, awkward look on the couple's faces. They sort of deserved to be called out in class for being obnoxious. I adjusted myself in my seat as I eagerly awaited for class to finish at any moment.

As I walked towards my dorm, I questioned myself about my evening plans. My head can roll off my shoulders at any moment, but some assignments need to get done. Perhaps, one half of my homework can be done today, and the rest can be done tomorrow. Though the thought of receiving more homework made me feel like my fingers are slipping off of a mountain during an avalanche. I sighed with an inquiry on why college has to be so complicated.
All a sudden, I felt a vibration coming from my bag. My movement stalled a bit as I retrieve my device. It's a text from my friend, Piper.
Piper: Hey! Are you doing anything today? I was wondering if you wanted to come over and do homework together whilst making cupcakes.
Piper is my junior friend, with whom I share a math class. We met at Butler's hall where she worked as a room assistant. Her bubbly, light-hearted character made my freshman year at college easier than expected. She helps me with the math homework we're assigned and she bakes as a hobby. She shares a house off-campus with her boyfriend, Kevin, who is just the sweetest thing. He gives her encouraging advice, gives her gifts, and according to Piper, is amazing in bed.
