Jac nodded
"The truth is Sacha I'm scared shitless. What if I've made a massive mistake"
"Jac did you not tell him less than an hour ago that you love him?"
She put her head in her hands "I do love him. That's why it's so scary. I've left myself wide open to ending up with a broken heart again. I vowed after Joseph that I wouldn't do that again and what about other people's reactions and his kids what are they going to think"
"Hey hey slow down. I refuse to let you talk yourself out of what could be the best thing to ever happen to you. You tell him you're scared and then you work it out together" sacha said firmly
"Be honest with him?"
"I'm afraid so. If you're having any sort of doubts he deserves to know"
"I don't doubt that I love him but is that enough?"
"Sweetheart you're talking to the world's biggest romantic, love is enough"
Jac rolled her eyes "Urgh. You're going to make me do this aren't you?"
"Absolutely not. You're an adult and you make your own decisions"
After they'd eaten Sacha went to bed having been on the night shift. Jac  was restless, she tided the kitchen and then sat outside in the sun. She had a book with her - a medical book. No time for fiction for Jac Naylor
But she couldn't concentrate, her mind ceaselessly wandering back to Fletch. Blushing she recalled the weeks since New Year. She couldn't deny that the times when they were together were good, but what if real life ruined all that. She wondered if Fletch was thinking similar things.
Over at the Fletchers he was also getting the third degree from his sister in law
"Aye aye you dirty stop out" Gemma greeted him
"How've they been" Fletch asked, flopping down at the kitchen table
"Don't worry everything is in hand. Tea? You look exhausted" she smirked
"I am" he smirked back
"I want details Fletcher"
"I'm still trying to work those out in my head"
"Come on then" she said placing a mug of tea in front of him "tell me all about it"
