Ch.22 Sad Enough

*Colbys POV*
I had gone to Maria's house to talk things out and I saw her parents at the front about to knock down the door. I went up and when Maria's dad saw me he asked who I was. I said I was Colby. He seemed so mad he through me on the floor and started to beat me. Maria's mom was knocking on the door so hard until Maria opened. She saw her dad beating me and pushed him off. She was helping me up when all of a sudden her dad grabbed her by her hair and dragged her in. I heard her screaming and crying. I entered and saw him beating her. I started to punch him and he pushed me off. He looked at me and grabbed Maria's mom arm and left. I helped Maria up and she hugged me so tight still crying. MaryJane and her sisters came running downstairs. MaryJane ordered them to get the first aid kit. She sat me and Maria down. She first started to clean her up and heal her. After she was done she cleaned me up and healed me. After MaryJane was done she went upstairs. Me and Maria were alone.
"Baby I-" I got cut off.
"It's fine and I'm sorry for everything I said but stay the night with me please." She begs. I carried her to the room. We were cuddled and we fell asleep. The next day I got some clothes I still had there and put them on. We all drove to school and the squad was already around Maria's locker. We were talking and I saw Ivan pass by. I saw him put a note in Maria's bag and I saw Emilio put a note in MaryJane's bag. I was so fuckin pissed. I went after Ivan. I turned him around and punched him. Then I went to punch Emilio.
"Leave MaryJane and Maria alone! They are not single and they don't want you!" I yelled. Jake went running up to me. I turned around to look at Maria and she looked scared of me. She began to run to the girls bathroom and I grabbed her by her arm.
"Your a monster just like my dad." She whispered crying. I let go of her arm very shocked and I was about to cry. I turned around and Sam touched my shoulder. I went to grab my notebook and I wrote a note. I gave the note to Sam and told him to give it to Maria. After that I left. I knew it was the end of the day and I hid behind the bleachers to see Maria compete against Alissa.

*Maria's POV*
I was still upset about what had happened but I wasn't going to let that stop me. Me and Alissa were going to compete. Alissa went first and she looked to be trying very hard. When she was done I laughed. It was my turn and I wasn't trying much and I still won. She was so fuckin pissed.
"Who's the loser now. I took your place in cheer and it won't be too hard to take your place for the most popular. Also, I may be the new girl but don't mess with me." I threaten. Everyone looked at me. She left and so did everyone else. I went up to the group smiling.
"Maria, Colby said to give this to you." Yelled Sam over the huge noise. He handed me a folded piece of notebook paper. This is what it said=
Dear Maria,
I know your mad and you are scared of me but just know I will always love you no matter what. I just think it's better if we take a break from each other and give it some time. I won't be in school for a day or two just to think things through. I love you so much and please take care of you and the babies. I'll be avoiding you in the halls just to also give you space.

I was crying and everyone saw me. I saw Ivan going up to me and I just went up to kiss him. Everyone was so surprised.
"Do you want to be my girl?" He asked
"Yes." I replied. He hugged me and kissed me. His lips were so soft and they reminded me of Colby's. Me and Ivan exchanged numbers and he took me home. While he was driving me I messaged the group and took a picture of the note and sent it to them.
*Messaging the group*
'I sent the picture'
"Do you still love him though?" Asks MaryJane
"Yes, and I'm dating Ivan to forget him but I still love him." I replied
"Uhm Colby is still in this so he can still read this but damn" responded Jake.
"🙄" I sent
"Go to hell Jake" responded Reggie.
"Ok imma go, bye baby bubbas" I wrote.
I put my phone away and Ivan grabbed my hand. We got there and I hit my head with my hand.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I forgot to ask you if we could go pick up my babies." I replied. He looked shocked but then he smiled. When we went to pick them up and got home he quickly went to go pick up Angel. He started to play with him and make faces at him and Angel laughed. I didn't realize I was smiling and blushing. We went inside and I set Melody on the couch. He set Angel next to her and he played with both of them. At the end the babies fell asleep.
"You would be a great father." I commented. He smiled and went to kiss me. I don't think he will be the worst ever but I still will miss Colby. So much.
