SHAY POV/ Engagement ring in MM/ Marcus's Car

Shay: "So you really not gonna tell me where we going?" I said looking at Marcus, he was driving and I admit my man look fine with black on, he always do.

Marcus:" No its a surprise Shantell". He held my hand as he continued driving on the freeway, I turned up the music on the radio and took a picture of me and him smiling and posted it on Instagram.  Within 30 minutes, we finally pulled up to the place and I smiled, Marcus got out and went over to my side to open the door, I got out and kissed him.

Shay:" You brought me to the Fine Arts Museum, awe baby". I blushed and held his hand as we walked inside.

Marcus:" I know Art is your major and you love it especially those bomb ass drawings you be doing and I'm proud of you baby, I can't wait to see your work in the future and thats really sexy to me, seeing that you working so hard in something you love so much."I blushed and gave him another kiss on the lips. We walked around looking at the art and I'm so impressed with this stuff and thats why I study it because its so unique.

After a while, we left to get some food and pulled up to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks, I looked at Marcus crazy.

Marcus:" What?" He said laughing turning off the car.

Shay:" Babe, I would've been cool just going to Wendy's you don't have to do all this."

Marcus:" Cmon, we already here plus its nothing." He got out the car and came to my side to let me out, I held onto his arms as we walked in,  I'm glad I bought a jacket cause its cold as hell in here.

Marcus:" Reservation for Marcus for 2",  The host took us to our table and we sat down, I looked at the menu as we waited for our server, I looked up and Marcus was staring at me.

Shay:" What babe?" I said putting my menu down and looking at him.

Marcus:" You are really beautiful", I blushed and looked around and saw a server coming our way.

Server: "Hi, my name is Kelly, I'll be taking care of y'all, can I start y'all off with drinks?"

Shay: "I'll get a water."

Marcus:" Same"

Kelly:" Ok, are you guys ready to order now or still looking?"

Shay:" We are still looking". She walked away and I looked back up at Marcus and he had his hands out for me to hold, I held on to them and he looked like he had something to say, He got up and got on one knee in front of me, I know he not about to propose.

Marcus:" Shantell Renee Cynai Westbrook, I have loved you every since I laid eyes on you 3 years ago, and you are the most beautiful, sexiest, smart, intelligent, strong woman. Your love is something that I can't control. You are on my mind and heart all the time. Before I met you, I was not familiar with the feeling of love. But now I came to know what love is. My heart misses its beats when I come closer to you. I love you so much and I don't ever plan on going into the future without you. Will you marry me?"

I looked at him with my mouth open, crying and the ring he had in his hand and it was so beautiful, I want to say yes but we are both 18, we are too young but I love him so much and I want us to be tied to each other.

Shay:" Yes" He smiled putting the ring on my finger, I got up and hugged him and kissed him deeply. We looked at each other in the eyes and hugged each other, we turned and every one in the restaurant and everyone clapped for us, and we sat down looking at each other.

Marcus:" I love you so much, We both 18, I know thats young, but I can't imagine seeing myself without you. He said holding my hands.

Shay:" We have to talk to our parents about this though Marcus."

Kelly:" Here are your drinks, are your ready to order now?"

Shay:" Can I just get the seafood gumbo? The bowl size."

Kelly:" Alright and you sir?"

Marcus:"Lemme get American Kobe Style Burger

Shay:  "Well, babe I actually want to leave and go tell my parents". I looked at him and the server.

Marcus:"OK, um well nevermind ma'am but thank you for your hospitality."

Kelly: "No problem, thank you for coming in." She walked away and we got up and walked to the car, I looked at the engagement ring the whole time on the way to my dad's house. I texted him to make sure he was home, and he said he was we pulled up to his house and got out the car. I grabbed Marcus's hand and he looked at me.

Marcus:" You nervous?"I looked at him crazy.

Shay: " You not?" I said laughing, I went to the door and rung the doorbell, within a few secondsmy dad answered the door.

Dad:" Wassup babygirl?" He said hugging me, I walked into the house and and sat on the couch in the living room, after dapping my dad up Marcus sat down next to me.

Dad:" Alright wassup with y'all? Why y'all look nervous."

Marcus: Mr. Westbrooks, I love your daughter with all my heart, and you know I would never let anything happen to her, she's everything to me, and can't live without her.

Dad:" Alright, so why you telling me stuff, I already know." He said looking at Marcus crazy.

Shay:" Dad, Marcus proposed to me tonight" I said showing him my engagement ring. My dad stared at the ring then looked at me and Marcus back and forth, then got up and walked around, I grabbed Marcus's hand and held on to it.

Dad:" Y'all know y'all are 18 years old right?"

Marcus:" Yes sir, I'm just so in love with her, she's everything and I don't want to lose her" He said looking at me in my eyes, I smiled at him then looked up at my dad, who was standing up with his arms crossed looking at me.

Dad:" Babygirl, if this is what you really want, I'll support you. But Marcus you know I'll fuck you up if you mess up with my daughter, this my only child now."

Marcus:" Yes sir I know," He stood up and reached out for my dad's hand.

Dad:" I give you my blessing. So y'all know people will be saying some shit about this." I stood up next to Marcus, he wrapped his arm around my neck.

Shay:" Daddy, I don't care what no one say about me and him, as long as its from family or friends, fuck them haters."

Dad:"That's my girl, and if you want me to I'll pay for the wedding", I smiled, and he hugged me, after talking to my dad longer, we got in the car and drove to my apartment, I looked at Marcus and he looked back at me.

Shay:"We have to talk to my mom about it tomorrow but other than that, looks like we have a wedding to plan."
