Violet hanged the phone. It was as if she could feel Will through the line, his pain, his worry, she needed to see him immediately. She walked back to the kitchen, where Nancy was talking about the probable logistics of the plan. The three of them turned to look at her, who was terrible at pretending she was fine.

"Guys I have to go uhm... back to school, apparently I have to take a test"

"Says who?" Theo asked confused.

"Greta" Violet lied, Nancy rolled her eyes and faced the other way, Theo groaned.

"Okay, have fun" Theo said sarcastically.

Violet hated lying to them, she hated it- specially knowing she had hurted Theo, but she could not let them know she had to see Will. If she had told them, Jonathan would've panicked and the whole gang would've gone to see Will, and that would lead to Will not trusting Violet no more.

She got into her car and drove to Will's house. It was a very quiet ride, she didn't even turned on the radio, she knew something was wrong, starting by her feeling itching at school. She was at class, trying to focus on the lesson when she started to feel the iching feeling of burning, she was so hot she was sure someone had set her on fire. She turned on the fire sprinklers with her mind, trying to feel some ease but she failed.

It was weird, she wondered if Will was going through the same thing. She parked outside the house and honked, a couple of seconds later Will walked outside, his mom- Joyce, stared at him painfully. Will jumped into the car and sighed.

"It's cold" he said, rubbing his arms.

"Do you want the AC off?"

"No, it's fine" Will said and looked at her "There's something wrong"

Violet nodded, she stared at Joyce from the window, praying she would not hear anything at all.

"I know" Violet said and sighed "I can't lie anymore, I've been having-"

"Episodes" Will interrupted her "I know, me too..."

They stayed in silence until one of them could find the words to speak.

"What does this mean?" Violet asked "Why are we snapping back and forth, and seeing things, and moving stuff..."

"I'm not moving stuff" Will said confused "Are you?"

"Well... yeah" Violet said and scratched her nails "It's weird..."

"Maybe it's a sign" Will said, he took a paper from his pocket and unwrapped it. It was the mashed potato monster, as Violet would say "I remember being in the school field, and ... seeing it, feeling it..."

"Oh god, Will, are you okay?"

"I think it came for me" Will said and shivered at the thought of it, at the feel of it "Are we in danger, Violet?"

She kept quiet, without a truthful answer to give. She shrugged and looked back at Joyce, who was still biting her nails "Does she know?"

"Yes" Will said

"Does Jonathan know?"

"Not about today, but he's aware something's wrong" Will said "Mom doesn't want to tell him a lot about the Hawkins session"

"The what?"

"The lab... mom's been taking me to the lab"

"What? Why?" Violet asked shocked, she didn't knew that about Will. She was shocked he had to go back to that horrible place.

"They've been treating me" Will said and laughed "It sucks... I'm glad your dad didn't sign you up"

"He didn't?" Violet asked. She looked back at Joyce and than understood.
