Kara parked the car and turned to look at me." Come on Olly I know your not their biggest fans but honestly they are like the hottest people alive."
My only answer was a snort. People had a lot of misconceptions of the super natural, Vampires being the worst. Sunlight didn't burn them, they didn't have to kill to survive and they definitely weren't dead. They did however have the strength and God forbid the looks. I didn't really have a problem with their race as such it's just they were so arrogant . Vampires like werewolves were born that way, whilst young they would have their speed and strength, however there lovely pointed teeth didn't come through until they were sixteen. They were the masters of disguise and looked more human than any supernatural funnily enough. Really the only icky thing was there monthly intake of blood, once there teeth came in it kept them strong, I had no idea if it helped with their Good looks. Don't get me wrong there were definitely some bad supernatural's out there but I was fortunate to not to ever come across any. Nothing ever really happened in our small little town and frankly I was happy to keep it that way.
We exited the car and Kara nudged my arm with hers and gave me a smile. " You know there not that bad once you get to know them."
"Yeah right tell that to Saffie." I scoffed.
"Oh yeah well obviously she's the exception Olly."
Saffie was the golden goddess of vampires, one of the most popular girls in school and she loved to torment me on a daily basis. Just the thought of her perfect blonde hair put me on edge.
We were just reaching the steps to the school when Kara began coughing, her hand was on her mouth as if trying to contain herself, her eyes were focused to the left of me.
I shouldn't have turned to look.Absolutely mortified I watched as Callum made his way over to us. A big smile adorned his face as he focused on me. A few students stood back to watch , his blonde hair was far too long and he struggled to keep it out of his eyes as he got closer. He used his spare hand to brush it too the side and in his other he was carrying what I can only assume was meant to be flowers however I think they were more like weeds.
He spread his arms wide as he approached shouting my name. Kara turned her back to him trying to hold her laughter. My face was scarlet how on earth he thought this was a good idea was beyond me.
Most of the students had stopped to watch now and all I could concentrate on was the giggles coming from the ever growing crowd.
"Olivia I was hoping to catch you here, these are for you."
I just stood and stared in shock I couldn't move, I couldn't take the so called flowers from his hand, I just stared at his chest with absolute horror.
"Olivia?"
"What the hell is that?" I demanded.
Callum just looked at the flowers and then back to my face.
"You don't like them?"
I didn't but I was more concerned with his chest.
" Not them, that on your chest! What the hell are you doing?"
He looked down at his chest, baffled for a moment and then back up with a smile on his face.
" This is to show everyone that I like you Olivia, my mom thought it was a great idea."
A great idea was he serious? There in full colour was a huge picture of my face, it wasn't even a good one, I've got my eyes crossed and my tongue is sticking out. I could feel my cheeks going redder by the minute, I really could have used some magic right now.
So many students had their phones out taking as many pictures as they could.
"Take it off." I practically growled.
Callum looked a bit stunned and a bit deflated, I felt awful for embarrassing him but he brought this on himself. And to my horror he did what I asked and started to remove his shirt.
"Not here" I squealed.
"Sorry" he mumbled pulling it back down, Jesus he was like a little puppy.
"Look Callum I appreciate it, I do but I've told you before we are nothing more than friends okay?"
His crestfallen face perked up and I wasn't exactly sure what I had said to make him happy.
"That's great Olivia I would love to be your friend, shall we sit together at lunch?"
Oh my god I couldn't take any more if it would get him to leave me alone right now I would agree to anything, nodding my head I turned my back to him.
Scanning the crowd I got the shock of my life to meet the most piercing blue eyes I have ever seen. I roamed the face of the owner and started to hyperventilate, it was like Adonis himself was standing before me. His midnight black hair was cut to perfection, his straight nose and high cheekbones fitted his face perfectly. My eyes caught his once more and we just stared at each other like no one else was there.
The laughter of the crowd brought me back to my senses as I turned to see what everyone was laughing at.
"For god sake" I shouted throwing my hand up.
There on the back of Callum's retreating back in large black letters were the words OLIVIA NUMBER ONE.
Joining the crowd to enter the school I searched again for those mysterious eyes but found none. Kara brushed past me whispering in my ear.
"Told you they would be hot."
