Kimora's POV

*Beep* Beep

I groaned when I heard my alarm beeping loudly. I turned to the side table for my phone and slid the screen to snooze. Feeling satisfied with myself, I sunk into the soft warm pillow and escaped into my wonderful dreamland.

*Beep Beep*

"Ugghh!"

It's funny how time flies when you fall asleep.

I checked the side table for my phone and it read 5:30AM. I quickly got up, showered and changed to start a fresh day at my cafe/bakery.

My older sister, Charlotte owned the café and I owned the bakery but I funded the whole place through my life-long savings. Charlotte and I didn't grow up living an extravagant life but we were comfortable. When we lost our dad to cancer, life became quite tough but we still managed to be comfortable. For a younger sister, i was much more responsible than my older sister, Charlotte.

She was the type to spend a lot.

If she earned money today, it was going to finish in less than three weeks on bags, clothes, hair, nails and so on.

One day, her extravagant lifestyle caught her throat and she came to me when I bought the building. She proposed to divide the shop to start a cafe and that she'll pay me for rent as soon as the profit came in.

I was a bit reluctant because Charlotte could persuade you into unimaginable things i know she couldn't handle. For example, she would say she wants to start a blog and that she's going to put in hard work and all her might but when she gets bored, she'd give up.

Being the good sister who wanted to see her sister work harder and spend less, i succumbed to her request and that's how we started our Cafe and Bakery.

Sometimes, when customers ask, I tell them I own the place only because Charlotte does the same.

The Interior and exterior of the cafe were designed with neon cane coloured chairs and tables from Meubles. Bohemian styled couches and cushions decorated the little library space where customers could read and rent books.

The pink and white umbrella shaded the tables outside and the cream walls inside gave a cozy and warm feeling to the cafe.

Thankfully, the colours were not to loud. According to Charlotte, she wanted a warm and playful setting for the cafe.

It looked good so, I agreed.

"Hi Lola, you're here way too early." I said as I walked into the cafe and noticed Charlotte reading some papers on the counter. I often shortened Charlotte's name to Lola when i was in a good mood.

She quickly hid the papers as i approached her.

"I'm trying to be like my younger sister. Always responsible and has everything under control." She kissed the air as a form of greeting to me.

I went behind the counter and checked the cash register.

"So, don't get mad but I have this guy I want you to meet." Charlotte beamed in front of me.

I frowned and closed the register. "Lola don't start. You know I'm not searching for any guy right now. I will know when the right person for me comes. Besides, isn't it too early to talk about men?"

She rolled her eyes, "Come on Kiki, the right guy wouldn't just walk through that door."

"Anything is possible."

"No! Your novels are disturbing your little innocent brain. This is real life. Just let me describe the guy. You might want him."

I sighed as I entered the kitchen, "Okay, fine."
